MP3 Peace Machine - ROCK: Hard Rock

13 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Hard Rock, ROCK: Extended Jams

Details:
Peace Machine was formed by guitarist Robb Howell, formerly of The RH Factor, Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward''s "The Bill Ward Band" and the noted blistering guitarist on several Sony Playstation games. He has appeared on albums with Frank Marino, Vince Marino and live opening for bassist Stanley Clarke as well as many national acts. His previous band enjoyed underground cult status as a psychedelic hard rock act sort of akin to Jimi Hendrix, Mahogany Rush and Robin Trower. In 1995 The RH Factor produced a moderate non-official AOR hit called "Life''s a Bitch", a very "Trower-ish" extended jam tune with amazing guitar playing and which initially began as a favorite college station regular and was picked up by contemporary radio around the country. It still enjoys some minor airplay around the U.S. after a long run of medium to heavy rotation on US FM radio.."Life''s A Bitch" appears on the new Peace Machine album as a bonus track

The 90''s were a hard time to be a heavy blues / rock band. Nirvana and alternative metal bands were the mainstay, and The RH Factor, after galvanizing fans in the late 80''s co-headlining big concerts with bands like Foghat and the Outlaws, was finding itself searching for a niche to fill. In 1995 the band disbanded, and Robb went on to Produce other albums for Los Angeles based-artists.

Peace Machine was born in 2002- it''s music being raved about all over the internet, and is being heavily compared to Band Of Gyspy''s-era Hendrix, Robin Trower and Mahogany Rush, but with it''s own unique stamp. Indeed, on the new album the band blows out a killer version of Frank Marino''s "Dragonfly", an early hit from Mahogany Rush''s first CBS / Comumbia release. Even moreso, Peace Machine is making waves in local rock clubs where the band has made appearances to prepare for the new album, and blown the roof off the place, playing previous hit material and known to launch into a Holdsworth tune or jam a Brand X cover.

The players, Robb, Michael Dempsey on drums (an MIT grad who cites Terry Bozzio as a great influence) and Henry Ocampo (an amazing bassist in his own right) are becoming again, an underground sort of "measuring rod" of what authentic heavy blues rock should be, the niche last filled by the likes of Robin Trower and Jimi Hendrix, Frank Marino and SRV, Eric Johnson and Pat Travers. This is no "Flash-Guitar" band featuring surgical precision on stringed instruments, and they''ll be the first to tell anyone that they have nothing to prove. Peace Machine is just a seriously cool hard rock band who delivers the goods - all of ''em, and all the time...Oh, it''s SO about time!

The new album "Peace Machine" was recorded in May and will be released in July 2004. This really is the "Real Deal" - Pick it up - you won''t be sorry! - T.J. Thompson, 8 / 03 - GoMano Records, Los Angeles
