The Scott Harlan Group consists of Scott Harlan on electric bass, Charles Marvray II on drums, Dennis Benjamin on electric guitar and guitar synth, and Greg Nossaman on piano, organ, and keyboard. This contemporary jazz powerhouse covers a lot of ground, ranging from fast straight-ahead like "Upside In, Outside Down" and the reggae-infused "You''re So Blue" to the softer / slower "What I Miss" and the film-scorish "Island of Sadness."
Not only do the diverse performances of this group sound amazing; so does the recording itself. It was mastered by legendary mastering engineer Leon Zervos at MasterDisk in NYC. The result is a very spiritual album that is truly music to your ears.
