Details:
Through the medium of rock music, Saurus tells the story of the last two dinosaurs on Earth—how they were discovered, and why they have to fight each other for world domination.

First, let’s meet the heroine: Evie the Avimimus—a small, bookish, adorable bird-like dino who enjoys pizza, ice cream cones, and most of all, dancing. Evie is an ice-age survivor who melted in 2007 only to find that her dino friends from the late Cretaceous don’t live in Kansas anymore. Maybe if Evie was the only dino to have thawed, everything would have been fine. But thanks to global warming, there is another—a not-too-friendly carnivore, bent on enslaving the human race. She might look like a chicken—but she’s no coward, and she’s mankind’s only hope.

Not too much is known about the Nameless Evil Deinonuchus, except that he’s so evil he doesn’t need a name. Deinonychus apparently views his reawakening as an opportunity for distruction and world dominance, because, well, he’s evil. Lucky for us, Evie is here to protect our freedom and keep her fated nemesis out of power.

Saurus is a band of scientists who tell the traumatic battle between Evie and Deinonychus through rock, jazz, electronic dance (Evie’s fave), garage punk, and narrative ballads. For their live shows, a variety of theatrics are used, including costumes, skits, dances and powerpoint presentations.
