Philip G. Freeman is a native of Gary, Indiana and is a musician of consummate detail. The songs he writes are Word driven and musically challenging. He is a musician''s musician and the choir he has developed is exciting and extremely exceptional.
The Victorious Praise Singers, comprised of Washington DC area talent, are gifted and anointed to bring God''s message. The repertoire synchronizes the heritage of traditional Gospel with the fullness and intensity of contemporary Gospel lyrics and expressions. This project which is co-produced with Philip by Music Director Tangie Rowe, an accomplished musician, is expressive, intrinsic and timeless.
Especially appealing to Midwestern audiences, they have toured the Chicago area several times. In addition to being commissioned by The Office of the Mayor of Washington, DC to sing for the City''s Martin Luther King Holiday celebration, they have performed at National Public Radio and the Congressional Black Caucus'' annual Prayer Breakfast. Appearances on the main stage for Washington, DC''s annual Black Family Reunion, an invitation from The Bell Group to open for the renowned Tramaine Hawkins at a Washington area fundraiser, a special showing for the U.S. Department of State African-American History Celebration, and a request to open for gospel sensation, Dorothy Norwood, are among their most noted engagements.
