Details:
Kesti was born and raised in Sweden, and takes the melody on all of the tunes except for two of the solos played by Carina.
Carina was born and raised in the US, and has been learning Swedish fiddle music since age nine. Carina takes the harmony, or "second" fiddle parts, except for the two solos played by Kesti.
Kesti and Carina met in 2007, when Kesti received a scholarship to come to the US. Once they began to play together, they "hit it off" musically and as friends.
At a fiddle retreat in Wisc., Carina and Kesti played a few tunes together at a concert and got many kind compliments which they filtered into making this cd.
