Details:
Cate is now a 20-something year old (ok, ok. she''s 28) living in the borough of Queens, New York City. She''s an accountant from 9-5 on weekdays, and all other times, she''s a starving artist. Well, she''s not exactly starving. But she''s an artist. A singer/songwriter, if you will. She writes about stuff that makes her think and feel. So that would include anything from her favorite cereal (Frosted Flakes) to a past or current relationship (hope you didn''t date her in the past, cuz then you''re bound to end up in a song) to God (her creator). Well, ok, she hasn''t written anything about Tony the Tiger just yet, but that''s because these things take time. And inspiration. One day there will a song about how grrrrrrrrrrrrreat those yummy little flakes are.

Cate loves music, period. She grew up with classical piano training. So started playing around on the piano and taught herself how to play pop music by ear. Music stuff always came just naturally to her. Singing didn''t come until later on in college because she was too shy when she was in junior high and high school and only sang Mariah songs in her room alone.

It took Cate quite awhile to get her act together and actually start writing songs. She wrote a lot. But never had the guts to put music to her writing. But it was always her dream. So in 2003, she moved to NYC, took a job as an auditor, and started writing songs. The songs sucked. But she kept writing, because it was her only method to the madness inside her head. She recorded a little 5-song EP called "Corner Room" (cuz it was actually recorded in a corner room in her apartment). It was bad. But she printed 500 copies and got rid of them somehow. Most of them were given away to family and friends, and at gun point.

Time was passing by, and Cate asked herself, what''s the next step? Life was happening and it proved to be great material for new songs. Lots of inspiration came along as she struggled with how to live purposefully. Then she decided finally in 2007, with the nudge (or push, or brute force) of SEVERAL friends and confidantes, to record a full-length album and face her fears. That''s when she contacted Koo Chung (who she had admired as a tremendous singer/songwriter for years) to produce her full-length album. After a long year of ups and downs, good and bad times, the album (entitled "Images") was finally finished.
