As an artist from Orange, New Jersey, Charmaine enjoy singing songs that encourage, inspire and promote healing. In her living she strives to empower both children and women in particular to use their gifts from within to grow spiritually and to succeed in society. Charmaine developed a desire for music from a very early age being inspired through all music genres and by the mission that God implanted in her life. With a Masters degree in social work she has been afforded many opportunities to explore her passion of being a community activist and to spread her love for people both through singing and motivational speaking. In her singing she goes beyond the norm, she inspire people to push limits, gives hope and strength to persevere through seemingly difficult situations both in the community and workplace.
Through a mutual friend and co-worker Glenn A. Gray Charmaine was introduced to producer Tim Shider younger brother of Gary Shider of “P-Funk” who also worked with the following: Alicia Keys, Tamia, Kenny Latimore, Kool & the Gang, Leela James, George Clinton, Amy Winhouse & Love Jones SDTK). As they began collaborating on songs the CD "Secret Place" evolved.
She considers herself blessed to have had other great contributors to this project through working with Tim Shider. Commissioner Gordon (6) time Grammy winner (“Miss Education of Lauren Hill, Men in Black, Carlos Santana, Amy Winehouse). James Perry (Milton Biggam, Lou Rawls, Malaco Records), Hakim Bell (son of Robert Cool Bell of “Kool and the Gang”) and Sheldon Goode (Pattie LaBelle, &Donnell Jones) to name a few.
Charmaine is currently the founder of a mentoring agency for children and adults called FHOCOS, LLC. (Finding Help Optional and Creative Opportunities to Succeed). Presently she is also the co-owner of a counseling facility, “Center of Hope Counseling Services,” with two dynamic doctors, (Elizabeth Achebe, Psy.D & Vivian Ijoma-Tamin, Psy.D).
So if you are even a little curious about the artist "Charmaine", then you will definitely want to hear the new CD "Secret Place". The CD allows the listener to share in life experiences through the songs. For a few minutes the CD takes you to her secret place and by the end of the CD you will want to find your own private place to commune with the father.
It is her prayer and long term goal that each of you will be blessed through the music.
