Kirby D. Trim is an extremely gifted and anointed man of God. Kirby wrote 80% of and produced all of the music and vocals on this album. He offers more than the sharing of his musical gifts: he offers his heartfelt meaning for living. He is one of those ''preacher''s kids'' who is grounded in Jesus Christ and is intentionally striving to go to Heaven.
The album "Changed Man" is Kirby''s very first recording. His dad, Bishop Desmond Trim, afforded him the opportunity to record and release his debut album in 2001 at age 18.
On this album, Kirby encourages himself, believers, and non-believers, through Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs. The message he delivers is relevant to the variable 21st century we live in. He tells the world to establish and maintain a relationship with Jesus, by giving God all fears and insecurities. He strongly believes the truth of the Holy Scriptures: that God will give us beauty for our ashes. He tells the church to continue in steadfastness in worship and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
He sings a few verses of Psalm 119 in the song: "Teach Me Thy Way" as a prayer to the Lord Jesus; to be hidden in God and to remain humble and obedient; and to bear fruit of the spirit. He tells the world he is a "Changed Man" on track 5; because he has repented of his sins, been baptized in Jesus Name, and has received the infilling of the HolyGhost. Therefore, he has met Heaven''s preliminary entrance requirements.
On track 8, Kirby tells the story of God''s faithfulness, love, and kindness to his audience in "So Good". He gives them a chance to decide, encouraging his listeners to ask God to help them climb the mountains in their paths in "Take Me Through". Then he ends with a challenging question: What "Sense" would it make to miss out on God''s miracle of salvation? Although many have obeyed Acts chapter 2 verse 38, Kirby believes with all his heart that the Christian walk must be one of consistency. This is why he often questions: "Why would anyone pass on the opportunity to obtain eternal life? He believes all people should have faith in Jesus Christ, but their lifestyles should always represent Jesus, the one who faith should be anchored in. In other words, speech and action should coincide with one another.
Using the musical styles of contemporary gospel, reggae gospel, calypso, zouk, and gospel-pop ballads, Kirby delivers a heartfelt expression of praise with excellence to the Lord Jesus. With a mellow-tenor voice, touching guitar and keyboard chords, dynamic rhythm programming and the thump of his bass guitar, Kirby agrees wholeheartedly that today is the day of salvation.
