12 MP3 Songs
BLUES: English Style, ROCK: Folk Rock

Details:
Based near Brighton, in the UK, Patrick McKernan is an experienced musician writing, recording and performing his own material. His first solo release, Waiting for the cavalry, featured ten original songs, from the acoustic-driven rock of tracks such as ''The friends of Judas'' and ''Cynical sound'', to the acoustic ''Play, minstrel, play'' and the slide-guitar blues of ''So much in vain''. In June 2002 he released his second, blues-inspired CD ''Been here and gone'', featuring 12 original tracks, from the acoustic blues of the title song, through the barrelhouse of ''No water in the well'', to the folk-rock sound of ''Flesh and bone.''

The CD features legendary British blues harmonica player Al Clarke, together with seasoned session players Jim Leverton and Luce Langridge.

As well as a singer, Patrick is also a multi-instrumentalist, playing acoustic and electric guitars, harmonica and keyboards. Already compared to musicians such as Bob Dylan, Richard Thompson, Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn and XTC, Patrick McKernan mixes folk, rock and blues styles, driven by his distinctive acoustic guitar playing, to produce a unique and exciting sound.

A regular performer at clubs and festivals, both solo and with a band, Patrick McKernan can be contacted by e-mail for latest details or for bookings.
