"Amongst the madness stands a few. The west of US has spawned a savior. The production is first rate and PROFIT''s voice flows effortlessly over the beats. It''s a collection of impressive music and more socially aware than most of the US exports at the moment, making for a refreshing change."

Profit proves that rap is universal with his debut, American Famine.
by ~ David Alston, The Bay View Newspaper
"Profit dares to expose himself and the many contradictions of American politics, which has locked communities across the country into poverty and out of the true American Dream. You can hear the intensity in Profit''s tone as he spits game on ''Hell''s Soup.'' Feat. Jets. The cover alone sets the scene for some ''real content.''"

American Famine -- You''re gonna blow some minds.
by ~ TAXI
"I''m really feeling the tone of the voice of Profit. I like the message and how it was delivered. Live music feel totally works underneath the message of the lyrics. I hope you can take this to the clubs for live performances. I think people will react to you big time. If that''s you on the artwork, you''re gonna blow some minds."

Sweet stuff, definitely smokable . . .
by ~ CFAS
"Sweet stuff, good words, and I really dig the horns, strings, and piano. Gives a nice, smooth jazzy feel. It''s refreshing to hear something other than kick/snare, kick/snare. Always, keep up the good work."

With his debut album, American Famine, Profit emerges as a powerful writer/ producer/rapper.- breaking molds and setting own protocol.

This multi-layered concept album, including a six-panel story board charged with haunting images, is Profit''s journey home to self-discovery and truth, and exposé of America''s contradictions. Through his boldly honest and thought-provoking lyrics, echoing the voices of the past, present and future, Profit shares with listeners tales of his struggle and those of his people. Speaking in paradox, Profit reminds us that we ultimately share the same fate as one human race -- thus his last words on the album: "Let our souls be your shovels. Dig and you shall find us ..."
