Underground Rapper / Producer Imperator brings his music to the surface via his own label By Any Means Music (B.A.M.M.).
THE ARTIST: Imperator was born in N.Y. and raised on the streets of several major cities in the U.S.A., and now resides in Los Angeles. He was introduced to rapping by his brother in 1979, and his influences include the old and new school of rap. Formerly known as "The Imperator of Rhyme" which means "The Supreme Ruler of Rap" he is known on the underground hip-hop circuit as Imp. This rapper emerges as a lyricist with a variety of styles. He has performed live at The Apollo Theatre, K.D.A.Y., RadioTron, The Whiskey, The Roxy, The GoodLife, Project Blowed, and many others.
THE ALBUM: "Evolution of a Man" contains 14 songs, 2 re-mixes and 11 informative radio interview snippets. Musically and lyrically it contains a variety of styles from the dirty south, the big apple, and the city of angels. The end result is some hardcore, jazz influenced, old and new school, laid back, message in the music, braggadocio, gangsters rapping, abstract, motivational, love for hip hop music.
