I know everybody here, at some point or other in their lives has heard about great, big, tall giants. I want to introduce to you a real live giant. But this one is a little bit different; he''s a little bit too short; he''s a little bit shy; he''s a little bit of what you feel, a little bit of what you''re afraid of.....afraid to show. But he''s everything that I think a lot of us want to know. He''s an experience. He''s a trip. Yes, he''s a lover, he''s a clown, he''s a hurricane coming to blow you down. Now if you are down, then the hurricane can''t hurt you. And if you''re not, then it can only do you good to share the laughter, the joy, the pain, the happiness and the love of this man. Ladies and Gentleman, Mr. Prentice Minner.
........as introduced by actor, Calvin Lockhart at Paradise Island Hotel, Nassau in the Bahamas. .

His Motto: "Creating a world of love with sounds of Music"

"Once you have heard him, your life will never be the same"

Several selections on the CD is featured in the original musical production of "Tell The Children I Love Them," which is a vocal picture book musical of original gospel songs as well as re-arranged traditional hymns and beautiful love songs based on a spiritual encounter I had with God early one morning in Chicago after my late show at the Park Hilton Hotel, as the spirit of God consumed my spirit revealing to me that He loved me and commissioned me to "Tell the Children I Love Them"
My response was "But God I am NOT a preacher" and God response was "I didn''t ask you to be a preacher, I simply ask you to be "available". and I will give you a new song to sing, and a new testimony to tell" of the various challenges that I will encounter and overcome my life time. After a long struggle, and running, I finally listened to God''s continued plea to "Tell the Children I love them" when I was asked to come to the gang infested neighborhood in North Las Vegas, with my strong but simple message from God to the gang leader, Rick, "that God Loved him and Rick called off his attack that he had warned me would happen if I came into his neighborhood. He listened to my songs and decided then and there to give my message a try, and with twelve gang members Love All People Music Academy was established. Some of the music on "In My Lifetime" CD expresses lessons I taught through my music.... that life is a series of hellos and goodbyes; of new beginnings and endings; of see you now, and catch you later; of kept promises and "forgiving" unkept promises and how each of us eventually must acknowledge that regardless to our circumstances that we are loved.

Some of the songs are based on true experiences in my life and of the many lives that I have touched, influenced, and I might add, changed with my music.

While listening to this CD you may remember, and while remembering feel a tear well up in your eye and at the same time a smile erupts on our face.

As you Listen to the songs you will be encouraged to believe in your dreams, never give up hope, learn from your yesterdays, live for today, believe in tomorrow, and know that you will experience peace that surpasses all understanding; truth that will set you free; and love that has no ending!!!

All proceeds from the sale of this CD will help us continue on our Miracle Journey, a non-profit program to continue to fight the pompe disease by an awareness program to alert parents and families about the symptoms and cures as well as petition to CONGRESS to motify the Orphan Drug act that will make THE MEDICINE availale to all children who has the disease reagardless to age or severity of illness.

Reviews...

Billboard''s Top Album Picks-
"Prentice Minner-In My Lifetime. Minner played two years at Grossingers and other posh watering holes at Las Vegas, Miami, etc. His is mellow rock-jazz geared for audience, but a good voice and delivery, combined with better songs and arrangements than expected, lift this above the norm."

Cash Box/July 9,1977-
"They describe Prentice Minner as an innovator with a new sound, "Mellow Rock." Though the tunes are indeed mellow and inviting, some of them are remindful of that Afro-Cuban sound which blistered the charts in the past. Minner''s vocals are excellent, showing strength and range."

THE HISTORY AND MAKING OF "IN MY LIFETIME"

The Album "In My LifeTime" was recorded in San Juan, Puerto while I was appearing with my Group "Prentice Minner and Company," featuring John N. Lerner, my guitarist/arranger composer and best friend for many years. It was produced by Frank Dorman, entertainment director for Emerald Seas Cruse Ship. It was a great experience. It received excellent reviews from both Billboard and Cash Box magazines.

All the songs on the original album was written by me and John. "Ain''t It Funny" which was getting a great deal of air play destined to climb the easy listening chart as informed by local San Juan DJ who advised me to hurry and fully release it informing me that with out a means of his listeners to purchase the product he did not know how long he could keep it on his top playing list. "Thank God He Gave Me You" was introduced over a local station in Miami, Fla. And picked by the listeners as "hit" and "In My Life Time" was introduced on a local station in St. Louis rated by listeners "Pick hit of the week" The album was locally distributed in St. Louis.

It was decision time for me as I felt a higher calling on my life. To use my talent and music to help young people that had no direction for their lives and involved with drugs, alcohol and gang related activities. I advised my manager, Dave Jonas, who had decided to send a copy of my album to Clide Davis for review and possible contract, that I no longer wanted to pursue a life style of show business. I left show business, became an ordained minister, believing that "bad beginnings does not necessarily mean bad endings, and everybody is a "use to be," founded "Love All People" Music Academy in Las Vegas approved by the State of Nevada.

This decision literally tied the hands of my manager and publicist from booking publicity tours on talk shows and album release parties. Consequently the album never was totally released for national distribution. I was constantly reminded however by my friends and family that "you can''t keep a good thing down and that eventually the album will rise with even greater potential than before with it''s messages of unconditional love so badly needed in times like these, and songs of real life experiences that we all have encountered, or perhaps will encounter In Our Life Time!

After being convinced by family and friends and a dedicated personal manager, Bill McGoldrick, WJMJr. Productions, graduate of Love All People Music Academy and drummer by profession, we decided to re-release it hoping it will receive the notoriety it so greatly deserve.

IN GRATITUDE
I must thank some very important and loving people that have helped make my dream a reality.
That encouraged me, the one who encouraged others, reminding me to listen to my own "lecture series" that I wrote for others and to reach beyond the nine dots, to be an explorer not just a follower....to believe in my talent and my music. To Bill who constantly reminded me that I was a great communicator and singer of all songs be it gospel or a love ballad, and the McGoldrick family. John Lerner, co-writer and orchestration for the album who reminded me to do less talking let my music tell the story, Rick Lane Carrington who mastered the CD, who says I am the greatest vocalist he has ever heard and teacher, Jay Forde who did the art work and album lay out, Shauna Rash, who insisted that the Love All People story must continue to reach others through the Internet https://www.tradebit.com. And thanks to my friends Eric and Marion Berlin. Marion, being my oldest "groupie" who once worked as assistant to Movie Mogul Frank Taylor (producer of The Misfits starring Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable) felt so strongly about my musical talents that she personally hand carried the album to Billboard for review; and Eric whose father founded the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation , knows too well the profoundness of my Miracle Journey with my son PT. Pompe, (which my son has been diagnosed) comes under the Muscular Dystrophy diseases.
On a more personal note I would like to thank my family for their love and support, my niece Barbara Gibson, my nephew Robert Warren Jr. and lovely wife, Gloria and all my family, my Love All People Family and friends, especially John and Linda Lerner, Dan and Pam Doherty.
I dedicate this album to my son, PT II who HAS received his greatest and final Miracle when God sent his little angels to bring him home on May 16, 2003 where he can play his drums with no more pain and sing his favorite song..."In My Lifetime" from this album as a testimony to his little life while here on earth.
