"Ironically, the very same people who clamor for "new ideas" in music are the first to run scared and holler "ridiculous!" every time we try to alter their old habits and disturb their somnolent routines. This may appear incomprehensible but let us not forget that a work of art, an attempt to achieve beauty, always seems to be taken by many people as a personal offense or threat." Claude Debussy
RELEASE DATE NOVEMBER 1, 2003

BLESS OUR FURRY LITTLE HEADS is the debut album from DreamShore Music and the latest cutting edge album from Zara and his band PUZZLE MONKEY, the Ellsworth, Maine based art-rock group. This sonically perfect album has cellos, Brit-pop real drums, and soul-searching lyrics about love to culture. If you are looking for something new and want to hear interesting, musical, and progressive rock music, check this out!

DreamShore Music has taken its place within the developing and highly competent music industry in Maine. This album is beautifully recorded with many innovative and interesting techniques. For instance, the programmed drum sounds and many other sounds such as the tire screech from a 1961 Corvette were real drums and a real car sampled (recorded) in a garage. In many instances the reverbs and other sound processing are real, using natural walls and devices for effects. This is a collective enterprise representing professional artists, engineers, and producers from America, Britain, and Finland - all accomplished and highly regarded in their fields.

Sadly, a few gigantic studios and a handful of powerful people have cornered the music industry. Ergo, few people will get to hear this creative and exciting album. It currently costs about $30,000.00 dollars to market a single song - and of course there is no guarantee that it will break through the copycat and repetitive broadcasting on the few major radio systems in America. So, we hope that if you do like this album, you will talk about it, pass it on, make copies, and even buy another one from us at https://www.tradebit.com or CD Baby.

We wanted some unbiased opinions from artists we admired but those we initially contacted were a bit busy- so through the help of a fellow traveler we were able to receive the following:

"If Bjork and Morrissey had joined forces to produce some ungodly union and produced a musical offshoot - this would be the project." Frank Zappa

"Finally someone singing about more than their libido." Phil Ochs

"Cultural dialectic and progressive Brit-pop. Not bad." Abbie Hoffman

"This band is both happy and very sad - oh la, bump, bump, bump - down the funny stairs" Richard Farina
