Denis D''Aoust (pronounced deh-NEE dah-OO) is a professional pianist, vocalist, keyboardist, organist, accordionist, composer, arranger & producer with an extensive repertoire and international experience. His natural talents cover a wide range of playing styles — romantic ballads, upbeat jazz, as well as rock & swing dance music — that include the best-loved hits of the great crooners as well as contemporary hits that will be tomorrow’s standards...and everything in between!
Praised not only for his piano-playing and outstanding musical ability, Denis has a smooth singing voice and wide vocal range that can caress a ballad and liven any upbeat song.
Denis hails from Ottawa, Canada, where he started out playing accordion at age 5, organ at age 12, then went on to play in bands from his teens to the time when he led his own Denis D’Aoust Orchestra. Later, as a solo artist, he entertained at major hotels as well as corporate & private functions. From 1986 to 2002, he had long-running contracts at the Four Seasons and Sutton Place hotels in Toronto, spending his days arranging & producing music for many artists at his August Night Music Studio.
He has appeared on Canadian television, and he’s performed for Queen Elizabeth II, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, and many Hollywood celebrities.
Denis has released three CDs – including his brand new hit “Come Fly With Me.” Two singles from his previously-released CD “Bitter Suite” received international airplay.
In 2002 Denis was chosen to serve as a judge at the Juno Awards, Canada’s equivalent of the Grammies. Also in 2002, Denis delighted guests aboard a small deluxe French luxury cruise ship, then performed during the peak Holiday season at the prestigious Carlton Hotel in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
He now lives in the San Francisco Bay area where he performs at a wide variety of events in the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas as well as in Las Vegas and southern California, plus he still composes & produces music for himself and others.
