DJ Speedy, a rapper who has been gaining momentum as a producer since hits for Young Jeezy’s The Inspiration-Thug Motivation album with “I Do This” and mix tape release “She Can Get” featuring Young Jeezy and T.I., Big Boi’s Sir Lucious Leftfoot with “Night Night,” Big Gipp, Rainman, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and others. DJ Speedy’s discography has grown to become quite extensive, since he started producing in 2003 with the legendary group, Goodie Mob.
As a young talent, DJ Speedy began hustling his tracks while serving as mix dj with DJ Prince Ice on South Carolina’s urban radio station, 101.3FM. The young dj impressed rappers when they came to the popular radio station, thus finally attracting the attention of Big Gipp & T-Mo of Goodie Mob. Not long after, Speedy migrated to the Atlanta region he began to hone his career while forging a bond with rappers throughout the South East region. He then went on to produce most of Goodie Mobs’ 2003 & 2004 projects, “Mutant Mindframe” and “One monkey Don’t Stop No Show”. DJ Speedy produced the majority of both albums and has earned several certified RIAA honors.
Ever since that taste of success, DJ Speedy has allowed his new persona to shine, but kept the same DJ Speedy image, and so the well kept secret is no longer a secret. Now you know that DJ Speedy is not only a renowned producer, but a talented lyricist too! Don’t mind the look; it’s kind of a mixture, like an urban nerd with an edge- who forgot his skateboard!
