"I''m going to be really upfront with you all. I have butterflies when I think about my new Latin album. This is something that I have done in many of my concerts but never on any of my music projects. Spanish was my first language. I learned it when I lived in Panama as a child. I enjoy singing in Spanish, there is such a freedom of expression and celebration in the language and culture itself, but now that I put music to the very expressions of my heart, I can truly see and feel the beauty of this world as I sing."
The artist always says to all who hear that what you see is what you get. New York, Chicago, Ohio, and San Diego are just a few of the many stations playing Rachel''s music along with international stations in Canada, Malta, London, Mexico, Australia, Dominican Republic, and the UK. She has appeared on several inspirational and satellite television shows. Living in San Diego one can get spoiled with the beautiful weather and attractions of America''s finest city, but it has been her desire to travel across this great nation and share her her music. Her recent music tours have included Perth Australia, Dominican Republic, and Mexico where she lead worship and sang in several cities. Also, she was just featured on TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network) as a guest soloist and minister an for a large televised national audience.
Her travels have taken her to many college campuses, venues and schools. As an author with her newly released book, "Follow Your Dreams" she shares to hundreds of youth, and students to never give up on their dreams, and to pursue that which has been placed in their heart. Rachel shares from her own personal experiences with obstacles, tragedy and illness. At every speaking engagement or concert she never leaves without providing them with an answer on how you can overcome them all. From tragic illness to seconds from death, she never gave up on her dreams, and that was that her music would be heard across the nation. "Many have come to know Jesus through my music. I have had hundreds of testimonies, of salvation, healing and deliverace because of the songs on my albums. It''s time to press in even harder. Why would I slow down now when the Lord is doing such a great work through the music? There is still so much more to do!"
Rachel has been involved in music since she was in the third grade. "Music has always been my passion. I will always thank the Lord for trusting me with this gift. Big doors have been opening, and I must take the step of faith and get out of the comfort zone into the place where I know He wants me to be." The Singer, writer was asked in to open for the Body and Soul concert with Latin Grammy nominated artist Joanne Rosario.
Rachel now performs with her own band "Power of Music." Talented producers, and musicians make up her her full band including Latin percussion and singers. Recorded in La Mesa (San Diego) California, Fuego Abrazador is the album that has been long awaited by her fans. Her first album has one Latin song, and that is all it took for everyone to know where her next project was headed. Well-known producer (Elton John''s Bernie Taupin, Sheila E.) national recording artist and bassist Josquin Des Pres (Track Star studios) has taken this album to new heights with the soft Latin ballads to the stand up and dance grooves of the salsa beat. It even has its hints of R&B. This is an album like you have never heard. Fuego Abrazador is an album with music that will saturate every soul and inspire you to dance, and sing. Embracing Fire is the theme of her new album. Truly this will be a fire that will ignite every soul. RACHEL P. REID nacido y levantado en San Diego, CA y ha crecido con una educación Cristiana fuerte. Ella sabe y enseña la importancia de la música para el desarrollo de una caminata fuerte con Cristo. "La música es una parte grande de nuestra sociedad todo gira alrededor música. La música es el espíritu." Su único propósito es de llegar al corazón de este mundo por los medios de la música. Ella ha llegado al corazón de la juventud y a las personas de su comunidad para mas de diecisiete años, con la música y el ministerio.
Ella atribuye su sensibilidad al Espíritu de Dios y la prontitud para el evangelio a los años de la enseñanza a través de su vida entera en el ministerio. Rachel ha tenido varios obstáculos para vencer. Esos vinieron con su única hija Tabitha que se diagnosticó con una enfermedad de hueso en la edad muy temprana de 6 meses. Ella ha visto su hija aguantar siete cirugías mayores para quitar y reconstruir los huesos. El muy reciente era el segundo de reedificaciones de cadera hechas. Nueve horas de cirugía en el que dos pintas de sangre se necesitaron. Era sólo la fuerza y paz de Dios que ayudó la familia por estos tiempos difíciles. En un pecho al molde del cuerpo del tobillo por tres meses (dos veces) y meses de la terapia física para aprender a andar otra vez. Eran tiempos de gran consagracion y oracion, pero fuera de eso, vino la mejor alabanza. "Las mejores canciones vienen de una nave rota. Sé que las alabanzas de Dios deben ir más alto que las circunstancias y los fuegos de la vida. Así como la mujer con la caja de alabastro, el perfume había sido costosa y vino con un precio alto, Le costo todo lo que ella tenia. Dios da a luz su Gloria del el corazon quebrantado. He visto Dios llevar me a otro nivel por los tiempos difíciles en mi vida. No me trajo hacia abajo, pero me enseñó a permanecer humilde y roto antes de él." Pero los ensayos no terminaron con su hija. Rachel encaró, y sobrevivió una cirugía de la emergencia. Ella sólo recuerda entrar el espacio de la emergencia con dolores severos en su cuerpo y despertándose dos diás después en un espacio de hospital con alambres y conexiones por todas partes ella, y un tubo grande que sale de su nariz y hacia abajo en su garganta. Ella estaba en el hospital por semanas, e incapaz de hablar. Era obvio que el tubo afectaba su voz. Los médicos dijeron era sólo un milagro que ellos agarraron la irrupción en el tiempo. Sólo minutos de la muerte, era la mano de Dios que alcanzado fuera en el momento muy exacto y cumplir Su plan perfecto para su vida. Ella dice que ésos eran tiempos de auto-examen y humildad. Más temprano, el especialista de garganta había recomendado que ella renuncie cantar. Tres callos grandes habían desarrollado en la garganta y causarían eventualmente el daño permanente a su voz. PERO...ella cree que Dios tiene y continuará ungir su voz, y los soportes en Su palabra. "Abre la boca y El lo llenará." Según Su Palabra, hay sólo una cosa que nos hara libre y eso es, la Verdad. Sus líricos y la música son llenados de Su palabra, y las verdades espirituales. Usted encontrará que todas sus canciones se escriben con experiencias de verdadero-vida de la gracia de Dios y la misericordia. Por la música usted puede oír verdaderamente la voz de la salvación, sanidad y liberación. Las melodías poderosas llegan a un lugar donde usted se puede libre en Dios. Es evidente que su único deseo es para alcanzar personas para Jesucristo.
