Biografia en espanol
"El Chivo," nacido Eduardo Garcia, tenia solamente
trece anos cuando vino a los Estados Unidos en 1994.
El Chivo dejo a su pueblo querido, Iramuco, en la
provencia de Guanajuato, Mexico, con su familia en
busca de una vida mejor, llegando en Milwaukee,
Wisconsin.
Poco despues de llegar a los EEUU, El Chivo empezo la
escuela y muy rapido se intereso en la musica y
cultura urbano de los EEUU. Empezo a experimentar con
musica, tocando discos en fiestas con su hermano
mayor, el conocido sonido de D.J. Payback Garcia.
Hicieron esto por varios anos, creando seguidores de
su musica en los calles. Despues de varios anos de
tocar en fiestas, El Chivo y sus hermanos querian
llevar a su musica al proxima nivel. Empezaron a
experimentar con rimas, creando su propia musica de
typo hip hop en espanol.
Los hermanos empezaron al grupo Kinto Sol, invitando
al Chivo para aparecer en una de sus canciones cuando
se dieron cuenta del entusiasmo y dedicacion del Chivo
a la musica. Los seguidores de Kinto Sol rapidamente
aceptaron el estilo y las presentaciones carismaticas
del Chivo.
La popularidad del Chivo crecio rapidamente, aunque
solamente aparecio en dos canciones del primer disco
de Kinto Sol. Con el tiempo, mas seguidores empezaron
a preguntar por el proyecto solo del Chivo. Entonces
en este punto El Chivo decidio de crear el disco que
pidieron, empezando su propia carrera.
Por el exito de sus dos discos, "Watchate con los
topes," y su produccion mas reciente, "Perro que ladra
no muerde," El Chivo a crecido un base de fans mas
grande, su popularidad creciendo despues de hacer
presentaciones con artistas internacionales. Ademas,
el a sido invitado para aparecer junto con grupos
famosos en diferentes typos de musica, nunca cambiando
su propio estilo. Quien sabe que tiene el destino
guardado para El Chivo, pero parece ser que esta
destinado para la grandeza!
Biography in English
"El Chivo," born Eduardo Garcia, was only thirteen
years old when he came to the United States in 1994.
El Chivo left his hometown of Iramuco, in the province
of Guanajuato, Mexico, with his family in search of a
better life, arriving in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Shortly after arriving, El Chivo started school and
quickly latched on to the music and culture of urban
America. El Chivo started experimenting with music by
mixing at house parties with his older brother, known
underground D.J. Payback Garcia. They did this for
many years, building a strong following on the
streets. After many years of mixing, El Chivo and his
brothers wanted to take their music to the next level.
They started experimenting with rhymes and creating
their own music, hip hop in Spanish, "regional
urbano." The brothers started "Kinto Sol,"
encouraging El Chivo to make a guest appearance after
they realized his enthusiasm and dedication to music.
Kinto Sol fans were quick to accept El Chivo''s lyrical
style and charismatic performances.
El Chivo''s popularity grew quickly, despite being
featured on only two songs on Kinto Sol''s first album.
As time went by, more fans began to ask for El
Chivo''s solo project. At this point, El Chivo decided
to give his fans what they wanted, his solo career
taking off.
Through the success of his two albums, "Watchate con
los topes," and his more recent production, "Perro que
ladra no muerde," El Chivo has been able to create a
bigger fan base. His popularity increased after
performing with international artists. He has also
been invited to make guest appearances with many
famous groups in different genres of music but never
changing his own unique style. Who knows what destiny
has in store for El Chivo but it sure seems like he is
destined for greatness!
