Edmonton Aylers started out as a two-piece band in 2004. The uniting of Burt and Simon took place at a slightly peculiar location, a daycare centre in Stockholm, where Burt stashed his kids and Simon supposedly took care of them.
Having a mutual interest for lo-fi recording methods, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Prince, Wilco, collecting curious records and evidently beer-drinking, they led themselves to believe that they could also compose splendid music together. Having been in bands for most of their fairly adult life, they just might have been right.
In 2006 the all-male-non-vocal-combo felt that they needed some talent in the band and contacted Burt''s previous band-mate Cia. Later that year she was accepted as a fulltime, valid member of the band. The trio now composes a subtle mix of ambient lo-fi, folk, pop, sometimes instrumental, sometimes not - music with an anything goes-attitude in Burts small, but with gadgets plentifully equipped, studio.
