We find a strong contrast of musical styles in this first solo CD from the composer VĂctor Estrada. Twenty musicians share this project, playing themes of pure electronic, minimalism, symphonic rock, or celtic music and performing almost 30 different instruments.
This work is dedicated to and inspired by some of the musicians who had a strong influence in Victor, like Mike Oldfield, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Michael Nyman ... and a long etc!
From a conceptual standview this dedication is focused on that kind of individuals of real life who are seen as divine beings by a few people whereas other people see them as grotesque beings.
This is reflected in those musical contrasts which, by the way, were reviewed by a few listeners as ilogical.
VĂctor Estrada studied classical guitar, music theory and harmony in the Conservatorio del Liceo of Barcelona, Spain.
In the eighties he founded the symphonic rock group Erin, and from that moment on he has performed and recorded with many musical groups deserving special mention his collaboration with the celebrated symphonic rock group Amarok.
As a composer, he had premiered a lot of works and published two albums Lo divino en lo grosero (2001) and Continuo despertar (2003).
