Rob Blevins and Dave Koynok make up the acoustic duo "The Random Brothers". They''ve been described as being like "Simon and Garfunkle with rabies", like "Crosby and Stills with Brain flu" and like "Two Bob Dylans that were raised by a pack of cross-eyed raccoons." They''ve also been called the most talented acoustic act in Pittsburgh.
These guys have been playing together since 1995 and have survived more than 1200 live performances. Although they play damn near everything - from kids campfire songs to cover songs to sappy originals - their "potty mouth" comedy songs are among the most requested by discriminating music fans.
"My Evil Twin" contains 14 original Random Brothers comedy songs including "DUI" a staple on Pittsburgh radio every Christmas season. "Lawyers Suck!" also gets frequent air play. The CD also includes two versions of our theme song "Black Sambuca Time", songs we wrote about each other, our tribute to John Denver titled "Almost Human", and several songs your mother would not like: "White Trash Slut" - a song for Tonya Harding, "Bible Says it''s Bad" - a happy song on the evils of anal sex, and "Irish Introspective" - a great St. Patrick''s Day song if you happen to be in an Italian bar.
