If you''re already familiar with the music of Steve Haggard, then you know that he''s a truly original artist. Steve''s sound is best described as "Genuine American Roots Music", being a potent blend of rockin'' country/Americana, flavored with blues, a dash of rockabilly, and a little bit of folk. Based in Nashville, Steve is a man of many talents, being a very distinctive and fine vocalist, a superb songwriter, an acclaimed producer, and an excellent musician. (In addition to playing guitar, Steve is a virtuoso blues harp player.) Despite his being on a small, independent record label -- Wild Oats Records, of course ! -- "the other Haggard" has built a (growing) legion of very devoted fans all around the world. He has performed in 17 countries, and done 50+ overseas tours since 1991, playing everywhere from Europe to the Middle East. Steve''s CDs have picked up airplay in more than twenty countries, and have been distributed on five continents.
