CD Notes

1. Turn Your Hearing Aid Down: I''ve been told repeatedly since picking up a guitar at twelve to turn it down. First by parents and neighbors, and eventually by club owners, older folks and venue managers. Common sense and fear of authorities influenced me to politely comply, but this is what I always wanted to tell them...

2. Making Money, Making Music and Making Love: Once upon a time when I was married and struggling every day in the grind to get ahead, I decided to look at the good things I had going, and wrote this song to remind myself to focus on the positve, even tho there was plenty of negative...

3. Moving On: Stuck in a small town with big dreams? Maybe its time to move to a bigger playing field with greater opportunities...

4. Yesterday Is Over: Stuck in the past? Obsessed with the future? Not living in the eternal here & now? Time keeps on ticking into the future. Are you living in each moment, everyday?

5. You Can''t Take It With You When You Go: Have you faced your own mortality? Have you figured out your priorities? What''s really important?

6. Finally Got the Nerve to Walk Away: Are you stuck in an abusive relationship that you know is hopeless? Maybe its time to exit...

7. Nothing Left to Lose: It feels pretty bad when you''re down and out. All this stuff really happened to me. OK, not all at once as portrayed, but any one of these things can give you the blues, and several of them did occur within a short time period, and it really sucked...

8. I Know You Love Me Baby: The truth be told, it''s really about my mother, but projected on women... Sorry ladies... I''m looking at it, and dealing with my issues...

9. It''s Killing Me: Sad state of affairs in the world...

10. Guilty: Sex, lust, self-deception, addictions, helpless, stuck, taking responsibility, coming to terms...fessing up...honesty...self-dislosure...Confession?... The first step to a much healthier lifestyle...

11. Dreaming: If I could only go back and do some things I didn''t, and not do some things I did... If I only knew then what I know now...Hindsight is 20-20... It''s too late to change the past, but not too late to change the future...

12. It''s Too Bad and It''s Too Late: I told you so, but you didn''t listen... (sometimes I didn''t either)... Now it''s time to pay the price...

13. Suicide: Don''t do it! You''re confused, things are bad, you''re really upset, you''re feeling helpless and hopeless. You think this is the only solution...Don''t do it! It''s only a temporary situation...This too shall pass...Hang in there...Reach out to someone, anyone...call a hotline, dammit...Don''t do it! It''s only temporary...Things will get better...Don''t do it! Did you hear me??? DON''T DO IT!

14. Gotta Go: All good things must come to an end...at least until the next round...Goodbye for now...

BIO

Alan Redstone has been entertaining as a One-Man-Band on the Fair Circuit for the last fifteen years, mixing comedy with a wide variety of music styles. Alan has performed an average of 300 shows a year at over 200 Fairs and Festivals in 36 States, endlessly criss-crossing America''s highways, byways, small towns and big cities. Previously, Alan played Casinos, Cruise Ships, Nightclubs, Bars, Restaurants, Private Parties and "whatever". In 1980, Alan spent 5 months "busking" thru seven Countries in Europe.

With the release of his new CD, "You Can''t Take it With You When You Go", Alan fulfills a lifelong dream. He wrote, sang, played guitar on and produced all fourteen songs. Due to his heavy touring schedule, it took eight years to complete. Although Alan considers this CD Blues/Rock, there is a strong Southern/Country influence. The supporting musicians are all Reno/Tahoe heavyweights, with the exception of "Butch" Richard, an old friend from Florida.

Alan hopes that success with this CD will provide the means to assemble a top notch band and tour world wide, as well as continue recording new CD''s. For him, it''s about the music and the music lovers, not the money. It''s a labor of love.
