Watch out World, there''s a new kid on the rap scene firing northern style lyrics laced with a southern twist. That''s right Reec is here.
As an adolescent Reec jumped state to state constantly having to adapt to new environments while moving around with his mother. After
attending eight grammar schools in seven years Gordon (Reec) Swiney finally found stability under his father''s roof, living life in the "Illest
of towns" East Orange New Jersey.
"I learned a lot being with my moms jumping around but I really came into my own when I moved to Jersey with my Pops.
Reec''s first taste of local popularity came when he excelled on the basketball court throughout high school. His talent landed him a scholarship,
enabling him to attend college in Atlanta, Georgia close to some familiar scenery from his early childhood.
"I moved back down to "The - A" and began to embrace urban Southern living."
Long road trips on team buses is where Reec began to home his rhyme skills by performing for his teammates and entering several talent
shows and open mic contest around Atlanta.
In the summer of his Junior Year he stepped it up a notch by focusing on his writing and putting together his debut album "SYMPLY
REEC". The album defines who he is with every track having its own personality and telling stories of his life and experiences that the
budding star has endured. A long time player of the music game, his best friend, closest confidant, and father executively
produced the album.
In the process of making the album, Reec assembled a mix and match crew of East and Third coast MC''s to be called the Bull''s Eye
Network (B.E.N). Members of the crew made appearances on the album to give the world a taste of what''s to come. Other guest appearances
on the album include collaboration with the Floyds, Rock, Derrick, Apple, and the up and coming Country Boi, by way of the Gump.
The finishing touches have been tacked into Reec''s first album, "SYMPLY REEC" and the single "Pray 4 Us" is creeping its way through
households and car stereos along with a variety of freestyles on mix tapes including a head knocking performance on the rising mix tape
producer out of Jersey, J. Wise.
