Details:
"I am passionate about reaching children through music" says Madeline L. Pots, and all you have to do is spend a little time with her to know how true this is. She combines her passion with creativity, talent, humor and an intuitive knowledge of what children relate to. Madeline goes on to say "I have scrapbooks of thank you notes from children, pictures, even lyrics they have passed on to me. I treasure them. They are momentos that let me know I am reaching these kids.

Grandpa''s Car is Madeline''s second children''s music release. The first, Gonna'' Plant a Garden, came out in 2007 and since then her young fans have been clamouring for more. This is the treat they have been waiting for.

Of the recording experience, Madeline tells how she got her two favorite nine year olds into the studio to record There Ain''t No Bugs On Me, one of two traditional songs on the cd. "It was amazing to see what they did with a song they didn''t know and had to learn right then and there. I was going for spontaneity, and we got it done in a couple of hours of work. The only delays were the frequent fits of giggles ... but that is what kid''s music should be about ... dancing and singing and laughing. That is how they access the music that is already inside of them."

Grandpa''s car features Madeline''s beloved ukulele, along with other instruments, her warm vocals, rich harmonies and universal subject matter. She incorporates story telling on Little Red Wagon. She contrasts tropical steel drums on Make a Funny Face Marielle, with the gentle simplicity of an old time favorite, Jenny Jenkins. The title song will keep you laughing, especially when Grandpa himself chimes in on the vocals.

This is a gem of a cd ... a delight for the young and the young at heart.
