Ryan Haloman began his music career in the fall of 1996 at the University of Wyoming. Mr. Haloman studied classical piano for five consecutive terms meeting the criteria required to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Music degree in May 2001. During Mr. Haloman''s extensive theory and composition courses, he had the support and encouragement from his mentors and peers to pursue a career in the songwriting industry.
Surrounded by popular and classical music growing up, Mr. Haloman began to incorporate both genres into his compositions. As a result, a relaxing, but inspiring atmosphere is apparent when listening to his music. Mr. Haloman enjoys composing music that is best suited for the film and television industry. The majority of Mr. Haloman''s compositions are piano-based, but he has also the knowledge and experience required to write for ensembles.
Mr. Haloman is a freelance musician who works full-time by day and composes at night. After recording a few solid tunes, he began letting people sample his music. When questions surfaced regarding why he wasn''t getting paid for his music, the modest pianist smiled and went back to work. It wasn''t after he completed his first CD that he began to understand how much people admired his music. Taking the advice from a friend he sent "Sleep to Dream," to the Library of Congress to be copyrighted.
Currently, Mr. Haloman produces his own CDs and sells his music upon request. In May 2004, his second CD will be released.
