MAINLAND is a musical tribute to friends and heroes who have written songs I’ve sung, or wish I’d gotten to, over the years. It’s also an exotic melting pot of stories about leaving the place you were born to create a new home. About discovering why the place you’re from is called “home” and how you can spend a lifetime trying to get back there. Here too, traditions of the past negotiate with modern lifestyles. At the core is the universal struggle to find love but with the unique complication of being “alternative."
