JUNEBUG SPADE- A new band from Oklahoma City - is making waves where there aint even water. Long time friends, Peter Seay(lead vocals, guitar), Jonny Hicks (keyboard, trumpet), Brandon Reed (bass,vocals) and Neil Pickett (drums) have played together for over a decade in various incarnations including Hindsight 20/20 and Majestic Beast. Influenced with the bent psychedelic, and those beloved rock and indie bands of youth (Built to Spill, Rolling Stones and The Kinks), Seay is setting out in March of 2008 to record an album with Trent Bell of wild unexpected song structures. Quirky? ....Maybe. Interesting? ....Definately. Pretentious? ....Hardly. JUNEBUG SPADE intends to take you on a trip, but without all those awkard hiccups new OKC bands so often fumble with. It''s no blatant Lips rip-off. It''s no garage-only party band. JUNEBUG SPADE is a new local rock band that isn''t ashamed of its locale, but isn''t defined or bound by it either.
