To Whom It May Concern;
The past seventeen years has granted me the pleasure of introducing the greatest fingerstyle guitarists in the world to vast audiences at The Chet Atkins Appreciation Society Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. Now in this, his first CD, it is my privilege to introduce you to one of the most unique of all these great players, not just for his playing, which is good enough on it''s own, but how and where he is living out his dream.
Ron Wise has written and performed some wonderful guitar selections along with Buster B. Jones and Les Sneed on his Point of View https://www.tradebit.comn one listens to Rons Point of View, that term takes on a whole new meaning. It was my good fortune to visit Ron as he lives out his dream to live in Alaska, in a log cabin and play the guitar. The incredible view from his cabin home, as it overlooks a winding river several hundred feet below, Ron''s Point of View is clearly understood in that majestic scene.
So what does that have to do with this CD? Everything - because the inspiration received by him from that view has obviously been masterfully transferred to this collection of marvelous guitar compositions, clearly defining his guitar expertise, as well as Les and Buster''s.
Trust me, he is a great fingerpicker and you will love this first entry in the world of CDs, but hopefully not his last.

Here is a true mountain man, that has hidden his talent for several decades, that is until now. With his first ever release entitled Ron''s Point of View, Ron demonstrates not only his command over his guitar, but his truly wonderful gift of composition. This is a C.D., that will bring many hours of listening pleasure to one and all. I was honored, that my friend asked me to participate in the making of this C.D. Now his music is where it belongs, in the hands of music lovers.

Just picked up the mail a while ago and your package was there. I
dropped by Wendy''s and picked up a Caesar salad and headed back to the ranch..
I put the dressing on the caesar and your CD in the player and hit "go"..
What a great CD, Ron. You can be proud of it. You really have a good thumb. Nice bunch of songs. Everyone has their favorites so I''ll tell you mine at first listen. I really love "Breanna Marie", "Cabin Fever" and "Living My Dreams". Those are my three favorites. Don''t get me wrong, I like the others but I love those three.
You''re getting a good tone on your guitar.. Don''t know how you''re recording it but it sounds good. I like the way 01'' Sneed plays.. He''s got a cool touch and a helluva tone.. Of course, it''s always fun to hear Buster B.
I''m happy for you and proud at the same time.. Thanks for thinking of me when you were dishin'' out your music. Can''t wait to see you in Anchorage.. Good luck tomorrow at the arena gig.

When I was about 16 years old, I met a guy named Frank Walden and I knew right then that I wanted to play the guitar just like he played because he played just like Chet Atkins. We become good friends and he gave me lessons for about a year. He then moved to Nashville and played guitar for many of the Opry stars.
So then it was just me and my Chet Atkins records. I wore out a lot of records pulling the arm back and forth across the records trying to figure out how Chet was doing it.
Then I met a fellow named Les Sneed. Although I didn''t know it at the time, he would play a big part in helping me with learning to play the guitar and my music carreer. He also played like Chet Atkins. We became real close friends, and I went to work with him and his brothers and Dad playing bass for the group. They were called the Sneed Family. I traveled and played with them for three years, January 1961 to December 1963. Those three years were great fun and a great learning experience as we played all over the country. Played the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas and the Nevada circuit. We also recorded at Capital Records in Hollywood. We came to Anchorage in the summer of 1961 and I fell in love with Alaska big time. We returned again in ''62 & ''63 and I just had to stay here as I loved the wilderness and mountains Alaska had to offer. My dream was to build a log cabin in the mountains. So in December of ''63, I left the group and stayed here.
I went back and forth to Springfield, Oregon and Missoula, Montana from Alaska for several years between 1963 and 1985.
In 1984 Les called me and asked if I would like to go on the road again and I said "You bet." That last big road trip took me to Nashville and we played at the Opryland Hotel. After Nashville, I thanked Les for making my long time dream of playing in Nashville come true, but I needed to get back to Alaska and pursue another life long dream of building my log cabin.
I have almost completed that dream and now I will have more time to play my guitar.
In September of 2001 at the Nokie Edwards Music Festival in Eugene, Oregon I got to meet and become friends with a man who I think is one of the best players there is. His name is Buster B. Jones. Then in April of 2002, he asked Frank Walden and me if we would like to go to Philadelphia with him and be indirectly involved in the making of his latest CD called "Just Us". Of course we said yes and had a great time. I can honestly say if it weren''t for Buster, this CD of songs I have written and recorded would not have happened as he showed me different tunings for the guitar and the using of more than one Capo at a time on the guitar. When I got ready to do this CD, I asked Buster if he would come and play on a couple songs and he graciously said he would. Boy!, was I thrilled to have my guitar hero play on my first CD. Then he even put a solo song on the CD that he had just written for his daughter Jessica Sue.
Three of these songs I wrote for my three beautiful granddaughters, Elena Rose, Breanna Marie, and Cerriahanna Lyn.
The guitar I used on this CD and my guitar of choice is my Godin Multiac Nylon String. I play it through a Roland GR 33 Guitar Synthesizer. That is what I used to get a trumpet sound on the song titled, "Something Different", and to get the piano sound on "Fireweed", and also all the string sounds you hear in the background on all the songs.
Thank you so much Buster for sharing your music and friendship and incredible playing on this CD. Thanks Les for helping me write, and your great playing on "Something Different". Buster is playing eighty percent of the lead on "Fireweed" and Les is playing eighty percent of the lead on "Something Different".
