Good day my Lords, Ladies, and Gentlemen, and Welcome.
Congratulations, for you have entered the page of the famed Celtic band, whose name must only be spoken in a whisper. . . The Rogues.
"The biggest thing to come out of the British Isles since foot-and-mouth disease," says one adoring fan, "although they aren''t quite as fatal to livestock." And this is true. (The livestock part.)
The band was formed many centuries ago from the very rocks and dust of the young planet we call Earth. Four young ,talented musicians were called from every corner of the globe to provide musical experiences the likes of which had never been seen before. Thus, they received their first instruments, sent on lightning bolts by the gods themselves. First, there was Noel, who from the gods of way too much wisdom (as well as those who want to join the Air Force Academy), received a golden pennywhistle and the vocal abilities to wow thousands. Then came Brian, who, from the great god of humor and fatness received a bodhran, the ancient heartbeat of Irish music. Next was Michael, who from the gods of sarcasm and intelligence received a shining Fender guitar. And finally, David, who, from the gods of genius and hurting themselves way too much received a glowing fiddle, the sound of which would bring tears to the eyes of thousands. But the band was not yet complete . . .
The group still lacked one thing. It lacked a true voice, a voice which would cause all of the millions of people within its range to flock to this newly formed supergroup. It lacked a voice so rich and sweet, so beautiful, yet so powerful that anyone who heard it would instantly fall in love. It lacked a Herald. And Thus, from the deep underground fortress that was Italy, came Michael Crandall, completing this fabled group.
The band would go on to perform for the Pharaohs of Egypt, and leaders such as Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar. Their music would inspire the very pen of Mozart and drive Beethoven to his knees, weeping. Their sweet melodies would bring meaning to the lives of anyone so lucky as to hear them. Along the way, they would make many friends, such as the all-powerful Dictator Simpson and the great Sir Alfred Steve-Bob, but the band would remain unchanged.
Thus they survived through the ages, producing music for everyone to enjoy. By now you must be wondering exactly how old these fabled beings are. Well, I''ll tell you - this is the mystery of the group. For you see, they are still teenagers! Yes, it is hard to believe, but it is also true. They are still young, and still playing their powerful hearts out. Now you have the opportunity to hear this masterful group.
