Brett Schieber is a uniquely pop independent artist in Atlanta that is gathering fans with his many Atlanta area performances. With radio play on commercial radio (95.2fm) in Holland and a dedicated fanbase around the world that have discovered him on the ''net, his fanbase is not limited locally and is growing daily. Brett began his career as a member of the trip-hop duo Arcanum. Westcom Records, a German label, released their debut cd to great reviews in 1998. They later appeared on MTV, reached #7 in Lithuania with their song "The Puzzle of Reflection", appeared in numerous publications, and were even bootlegged in Russia. During this time, Brett also released DJ-instrumental-electonica-remix stuff under the name "Prankster". Prankster''s music appeared on several independent and student films, was used for Miami''s Surf Expo''s modeling show two years in a row, and appeared on a critically acclaimed Fi-Sci cd alongside other well-known electronica artists. At the same time, Brett became an in-demand studio musician. He has played on and produced for a diverse range of artists around Atlanta ranging from rock to hip-hop to folk to reggae and everything in between. Brett then embarked on a solo career and released "Television and Trash". His upbeat pop/rock/alternative music with intelligent lyrics is a fresh addition to today''s current popular music. His music fits comfortably between a range of pop artists such as Good Charlotte, Justin Timberlake, and John Mayer. He says the highlight of his solo career so far is appearing alongside one of his musical idols, John Taylor of Duran Duran, on a Serious Vanity cd called "Bangs, a tribute to the 80''s" singing INXS''s classic "Never Tear Us Apart". Finally, with a newly formed, energetic rock band, many more fans of intelligent pop music are soon to discover Brett Schieber.
