A melodic rock quintet that likes to toy with unconventional song structures. Featuring two singers, the music is layered with tasteful guitar and keyboard lines, filled in with vocal harmonies, and rooted by a powerful rhythym section.

Details:
Originally cultivating their life''s experiences into rapidly developing and distinctly different song-writing styles; Jacob Grun and Jacob Mullis first met while performing as part of an acoustic song writer''s showcase as the now closed Cafe Borealis, Dinkytown. From there Jacob and Jacob went on to form the infamous Slow Machines with fellow talents Laura Meloy and Katie Marshall.

After gaining recording, performing, and song-writing experience in the Twin Cities area Jacob and Jacob separated from Slow Machines and began attending MusicTech College, in St. Paul Minnesota. Both would study Production. It was here they encountered fellow students Scott McVeigh (AAS Bass program) and Jeff Marcovis (AAS Recording Engineering and drummer extraordinaire). Consisting of these four gentlemen, seldomseen would form in March of 2003.

After being warmly welcomed to perform live at various Twin Cities'' venues and deciding to record their first CD, seldomseen was naturally drawn to local engineer and respected MusicTech professor Rob Schlette. Taking advantage of Schlette''s all encompassing industry experience (credits to the likes of Chuck Berry and Nelly) and discerning engineering style, the album would come together perfectly.

The successful completion of "To Soften The Impact" inspired Schelette to join the boisterous, brooding, and bashful talent known as seldomseen. Now, five members strong, seldomseen continues to tour and is preparing to record their next album in the near future.
