R&B and Hip Hop Artist, Shorty Corelone has been widely recognized for his flare for creative production, his distinctive singing voice, and wide range of explosive performance and recordings.
Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Corleone has been entertaining since the tender age of nine.
Influenced by a religious upbringing, the soulful sounds of Motown, and the ever unique sensations of Go-Go music, Corleone is determined to represent Chocolate City''s music and artists. His voice-trained from the age of 18 by the renowned William Beale- has been measured to the likes of musical greats Maurice White, Teddy Pendergrass, and Johnny Gill. Currently, he is the front line vocalist for D.C.''s premier band, Rare Essence.
As well, Corleone writes and produces many of the band''s hits and has rendered his talents to the Pep Boys, Lorenzo Queen, Nu Groove and Verdine White of Earth, Wind & Fire. With the goals of entrepreneurship, Corleone formed a record and production company, Innovative Recordings, Inc. in 1997 releasing his debut solo album, "The Heat." Corleone delivers a novel blend of hip hop, go-go and R&B music.
