Sir Dilla aka Stephen Constant was born on November 19, 1985 in Boston, Ma.
Since he was a fetus in the womb of his mother Cathy, the music drug pumped through his veins. His father Errol is a musician/songwriter from the island of Antigua. His dream was to spread Caribbean music to the masses. At the age of six, Dilla and his sister Donatella aka Karen Constant adopted the violin and studied classical music at the New England Conservatory''s, Step Program. At the end of 15, Dilla taught himself how to play chords on the piano, and participated in Berklee''s mentor program for 3 years. Ever since then, he has been constantly in the studio brainstorming ideas. In 2004 his last year of high school, Dilla made his first album entitled; Stir up the Pot volume 1.
Dillaman has been working hard to make a big bang in the music industry. His style called SOCA HOP mixes West Indian riddims, with Hip-Hop lyrics and Classical melodies. It is a breath of fresh air to the rest of music in America today.
