Setting Sunrise is composed of one person, Joey Biagas. From the small suburbs of LA he always sat in his room and wrote songs to share his heart to the world. Although the acoustic scene is not big and usually put off into coffee shop corners, Setting Sunrise has made his way through with his vocals, which are doused in color, to shine some light on the rest of the scene. His lyrical ties make you think twice as they are never written in plain English, but rather its own metaphorical language. Joey has also realized that they are always at least two perspectives on an outlook. He’s very opinionated to his own thoughts but very respectful towards other people’s angle. He’s learned that in some complex way, as opposite as things can be, these two different outlooks are simply looking at the same thing. This event shows how opposites can really be merely composites, such as the even of the sun setting to some is really the sun rising to others. To give Setting Sunrise a listen is plainly giving a “Setting Sunrise” back on what you think of the music.
