Details:
Art. Angst. Folk. Punk. ..One Pair Of Hands has it all. The CD is a collection of songs that artistcally express a journey of a struggling musician''s experiences and right to rock out with an acoustic guitar. One Pair Of Hands mixes folk guitar riffs with raspy vocals and lyrics that almost anyone could relate to.

"The CD is an artwork of pain vs. pleasure and the overcoming of self doubt among other obstacles people may or may not face." Scott Says. "I mixed fiction with nonfiction along with experience over theory to form a piece of work that mixes punk rock with folk."

Scott has always had a passion for music and the arts since he was a child. A childhood which consisted of picking up a guitar when he was 5, and expressing himself artistically with his drawings and music. By the age of 9 he had learned the basics and started to write songs and record them on cassette tapes to bring to school. By the age of 12, Scott was playing in his first band. It consisted of his cousin Matt on Drums with Scott on guitar who''d jam at his Uncle''s house, who is also a musician and current music teacher. As years went by, they would continue to play and later form their first real punk band "Detention 240" with two of their friends from school when they were both 14 years old. Detention 240 would play gigs all over their hometown, from sidewalk sales, picnics to school dances. The band had cut an 8 song demo and later decided to go their separate ways on good terms. This is when Scott met up with the "older kids" in high school who were into punk rock and formed a new band called The Asbestos Projekt. This was around the time Scott was also taking lessons with blues guitarist Bob Devos. The band spent a lot of time writing, rehearsing in backyards despite the police and neighbors and started getting booked at venues around NJ. Punk seemed to be the latest craze, a lot of kids in NJ started dying their hair funky colors like they did and also started their own bands. The "trend" became so big that fellow bands started having shows in a friend''s basement in Scott''s hometown and would book other bands such as Tokyo Rose, The Rx Bandits and Stillwell to name a few. It turned out to be a https://www.tradebit.comtt became a part of 2 more bands as well as the Asbestos Projekt. NJ brain rot, who was straight crust punk and RRRC which was a pop punk cover band. Eventually all of his bands called it quits and he had joined a final one, Nueborne. The band consisted of the two original members from Scott''s previous band "The Asbestos Projekt". The fellow member shared the same name, Scott. (the spelling "Skot" comes from a creative way Meyer''s friends used to represent Meyer and distinguish the two, he decided to keep it. He now uses it to represent his rebellious teenage years and grow with it, make music and have fun. Punk Rock Style) Nueborne picked up a new drummer from out of town and started practicing in rehearsal studios and gigging at coffee shops such as "Cool Beans" with acoustic guitars (the drummer used brushes). Due to artistic differences, Scott had decided that he didn''t want to play in a punk rock band any longer. He had become interested in a lot of folk, country and independent music and wanted to do something on his own and left his band on good terms. This is when Scott started gigging around coffee shops and bars in NJ on his own at the age of 18. After a few shows and positive reactions, had decided to record 2 cds at his house that he sold at gigs and open mics in his area. The outcome became a success and had found himself with a new hope. Scott had saved the money from cds sold, as well as money from his jobs and decided to record "One Pair Of Hands". The cd is a combination of songs from the previous 2, some re-recorded as well as some new ones.(Which is the explaination for the album''s cover). One Pair Of Hands is a collection of 16 that vary from fast acoustic punk to slow poetic folk. The CD also includes 4 "bedroom tracks" which Scott had recorded at his house. Such as the song "Petals and Rain."

"I guess you could say that ''Petals and Rain'' is my signature song. I play it at almost every gig and it was really born at parties where my friends and I would sit in a circle on the floor reminiscing. I decided to keep this one as a bedroom track rather than re-recording it to give the track a feeling of imperfection. It''s one I enjoy to play and incorporates a punk attitude into a quiet love song with a fast upbeat guitar solo." Scott remarks.

Songs like "Dried Clean" combine a fast pace folk diddy with a touch of activism against war. Whether you are "Punk", "Emo" or in the mood for some new underground music, you will not be disappointed with this CD. It is an artwork expressing heartbreak, over coming self doubt and everything in between that ends with the throwing away of dwelling in "Move On Instead."

"The CD was recorded during a rough time for me which is evident in some of my lyrics. It was also my first time going into a professional studio on my own.." says Scott without regret. "I look at this CD as an artistic expression of the time, not who I am. Since recording One Pair Of Hands, I feel I have grown much more as a musician and person and also have come to understand a lot more about activism than I have before and want to express it differently on the next one. I am planning a less angsty, but still https://www.tradebit.comk follow up album."

"Scott started playing guitar at age 5, by age 9 started composing and by 14, joined his first punk band. It is Scott''s punk background and evolving passion for folk/independent music that is responsible for his unique sound today."-Pauline Pisano, Musician, CEO of Hero''s Stone Records.
