October afternoon in Memphis at Sam Phillips Recording Service, an off-the-cuff session of music and poetry. An inspiration just to travel the road from Milwaukee to Memphis. The experience allowed for a window of time to be opened and captured on magnetic tape.
No band, just me and my guitar. This recording features naked reflection, singing from the heart and even a little Human Beat Box. The track Itsu Sasha, written while thinking about the life and tragedy of Alexander Litvinenko, the alleged Russian Spy. What you hear is live, and as performed that day. Not typically compared to Bruce Springsteen, however the album has contrast with Springsteen’s Nebraska.
