Details:
Phidge has been an indie quartet with basis in Bologna, Italy, since february 2003.
Plenty of word-of mouth and sweaty committment brought them to hit stages at clubs and festivals all across their home country and a few times abroad: about that, they''re especially proud of their 2004 invitation at the International Festival of Friendship, in Gorazde, Bosnia-Hercegovina, where their show took place in front of more than ten thousand people.
Appearances at festivals such as Six Day Sonic Madness and Neapolis, among the others, milestoned their following path, until in 2007 they signed a deal with the up-and-growing italian indie label Riff Records, which released their first full length album It''s All About to Tell at the beginning of 2008.
While their début was gathering unanimously flattering reviews on the italian press, Phidge contributed with their version of David Bowie''s Little Wonder to La Cover del Giorno (“cover of the day”), a space especially dedicated to italian up-and-coming bands within the nationally acclaimed radio show Dispenser.
Their songs were several times picked for compilations (including Velvet Blue Music’s Hearing Voices, where they were the only non-US band), the latest being an acoustic version of The Bloke on Live @ Maps, a collection of on-air live performances taken during the same-titled radio show (aired on Radio Città del Capo – Popolare Network), with the remarkable features of Jason Molina, The Wombats, Los Campesinos, Disco Drive and many others.
