A wandering sax and a cool river to blow our cares away; around the bend? - trains, boats, people...you never know; a little crazy the guitar says but it doesn''t know our secret; a ticket to ride, blast those trumpets high and let the sax sing sweet and easy; searching out a safe crossing, taking time; spring is sprung and it''s feeling good.
The tracks fit well together to create the journey - with sax, piano, trumpets drums and guitar (played on the keyboard) - giving us a cool journey of expectation and rendezvous, with dark thoughts creeping in around midnight when the moon slips away with the tide. But the new dawn puts a zip in our step and trumpets snatch our fears away before we catch a ferry to our final destination.
We need to listen to the whole album to get the full idea of the journey - searching, snoozing, talking, seeing, wondering - with a flirting guitar bringing a lighthearted end.
This is Jessis Lennox''s third instrumental album but JUNKET features more keyboarrd instruments.
She works on her own not necessarily by choice or design but it has worked out that way. She hopes you like this album and is planning a new album due to be released next spring.
Jessie Lennox has played the keyboard for about seven years and is mainly self-taught. She plays each instrumental part separately on the keyboard and then transfers the audio track to a computer for mixing.
