Cryin'' Out Loud
I knew prayer was important but by reading a book called "The Power of Crying Out" I began to understand the importance of speaking your prayers out.
Yes, God knows my thoughts and often they are prayers, like the song says "My thoughts are prayers I haven''t said, they go around inside my head".
By speaking out your prayers, you not only declare your dependence on God, you also hear what you''ve spoken and are more attentive to you''re prayers being answered.
I once heard a quote on the radio that said "Prayer is not so much tangible answers, but a deepening dependence on God."
I would highly recommend the very small book by Bill Gothard called "The Power of Crying Out - When Prayer Becomes Mighty". You''ll gain many insights.
Hopefully you can get a few insights from the song and lyrics as well.

The Joy Song
During my Discipleship Training School in New Zealand in 2004 I struggled at times with relationships within the school. I was quite frustrated one day and decided to take a nature walk. Being in New Zealand made it easy to spend quiet time with God in nature.
I was so frustrated at myself for letting things get to me after all I was learning, I started power walking and remembering what our speaker had been teaching that week. That as believers we are people of authority, and one of the things we need to do is move in the opposite spirit against our fleshly desires.
So, how would the spirit move against frustration and anger? What’s the opposite? JOY! So as a person of authority I began to claim the joy of the Lord. I said aloud “I’m claiming the joy of the Lord for this day!” and then I started to sing the line, over and over and other words started coming!
All of the sudden I was excited about getting back to my cabin so I could write the words to this encouraging song in my notebook! I obeyed moving in the opposite spirit and God blessed me with a joyful song! Almost a year later I found myself in the local studio recording it! I have yet to sing it without being encouraged myself so I sincerely hope it does the same for you! Keep obeying! God Blesses!

Spanish Lullaby
When I was studying Spanish in Guatemala I found myself touring the jungle in Tikal one of my last weekends there.
I had tried to find a buddy to take the 3 day trip with me but everyone said no. So God and I took the tour.
I spent about five hours walking around the very hot jungle, somewhat unaware of where I was, knowing it took seven hours to see all the temples but just finding my way around and enjoying the nature and sounds around me.
It turned into a beautiful day when instead of becoming lonely, God gave me a song in Spanish. It''s a very simple love song to Him that seems to have peace in it. I hope it blesses you heaps.
I always calm down when I hear it so it just had to be a lullaby.

I have to give credit to the very talented Jeff Cays for his creative and beautiful arrangements.
For the Hymn "Come Thou Fount" he played on piano what he arranged for my voice. What a beautiful blessing. Thanks for thinking of me Jeff!

Beautiful Cellist
My dear room mate and friend Kristiina Hirvonen, from Finland is a beautiful cellist who''s studied for years.
We met in New Zealand and roomed together for six months during our Discipleship Training School.
When she came to visit Washington over the Christmas Holiday in 2004 I knew I wanted her to play something in the studio.
She learned the Hymn so fast and then played the solo intro and through the song on a barrowed cello so skillfully.
Almost a year later I put vocals on it. It was somewhat of a challenge at first but then God inspired me how to sing it just right.
I''m so proud to have my roomie on my CD! She''s an absolute gem!

Ginny''s Song
The song "If You Want Me To" is a Ginny Owens song used by permission.
I''m proud to have this song on my CD because it''s really where I got my start at 19 years old. I knew it well because I''d sung it for all kinds of events. It''s such an encouraging song that I often turn it on to remind myself of God''s faithful promises.
It''s the first song I ever sang in a studio and I remember the comparing the expirience to a warm bath, once you''re in, you feel like you never want to get out.
What a blessing to be able to have it on my very own CD now! Glory to GOD!

How Deep The Father''s Love
This is another song used by permission.
After my first incredible experience in the studio and loving it we came up with another song to record just for fun.
My producer played it for me, I cried.
Then I learned it in about a half and hour and recorded it just after that. I meant it with all my heart and hope it draws you closer to God with it''s beautiful words.

Just passing the 20 year mark of my life I''m looking for more God inspired dreams to come true. I''m writing songs on my guitar more often than before and loving it! Music is such a gift!
What''s also a big part of my life right now is photography, although I did take my album pitures I have inproved a great deal with the couses from University of the Nations in Kona, the summer internship I completed with some amazing professional photographers and the practice starting my own business has given me. Kids are my favorite to photograph. SO cute and innocent and just priceless. Truely a work of GOD''s creativity in each one!
For now I''m in the states but next year I will leave for the Carribean to work in a church and orphanage. So excited! By purchasing my album for you and your friends you will be supporting me on the mission field! And even before that you will be supporting me to get in the studio again and record more songs!
