I love singing it''s a way to connect, communication and share with others. Being able to write songs, sing and perform for people is a beautiful thing. I don''t take singing for granted and I appreciate every second I am giving the opportunity.
I started singing in 4th grade, and recall when my elementary school won national singing competition three years in a roll. I was a proud member of that singing group. It did not stop there, I have been singing with small groups, different church choirs, played guitar, led worship teams and still performing solos whenever the opportunity knocks. Along the line, I started writing poems. After a year of Guitar lessons, my poems became songs. Then the songs become recorded demos. Finally, I have turned 11 of my demos to a debut CD.
Influenced by Lucky Dube, Bob Marley, Don Williams and Michael W. Smith. However, I have created melodies unique from all other artist, even though they derived from pure reggae rhythm. These sounds may be different to some people, but it is my way of reaching every peace loving person as well as reggae fans of all ages.
I have many personal meanings to my songs, and messages that relate to real life experience. Everyone can relate to them and are easy to sing along. I want you to feel me, because it comes from a pure and sincere heart. With a touch of Fanti and Spanish, I would love for my CD to cross all boundaries. One of my missions, is to share a message of love and peace to the whole world though my music. We are different in many ways but we desire two common things in life i.e. music and peace. Every human has this secret love affair with music and equally cries for peace.
Justin Timerlake is bringing sexy back, I am bringing Peace back. To all of my audiences everywhere; keep your ears to the ground and your peace sign up in the air because it’s never too late to start a revolution! Peaceful revolution, that is.
I strongly believe that one of God’s plans for me is to use my talent to send a message of peace to the world. Therefore, “We Need Peace” and “It’s time to pray” are the heart and soul of my album. It is the will of God for all of us to live in a peaceful world. A world filled with love, justice, respect and all good stuff. I want peace for my children, and their children as well as everyone in this world. We need peace. Billions of tax Payers dollars have been spent trying to bring peace to the world. Result… none. On that morning when Jesus was born, angels made announcement saying “...on earth Peace, good will toward men.”
I pray and wish above all things that we (all races, cultures and creed) will live in peace alongside each other. We are all Gods children of equality and deserve to live in a peaceful world. Guess what, Jesus prayed that we would have peace… “Peace I leave you, my peace I give you…” He said. If the world is going to have and experience peace, it must begin with you and me. Is this too big of a dream? No. Dream big, become an advocate for peace in your home, your family, community and as far as you can go. Brighten the corner where you are and together we can change the World One Person at a time.
There had been many setbacks, even stumbling blocks in my paths to prevent this CD from becoming reality. But given up was not and never an option. I know with God, all things are possible, and that there is no door that can shut on his promise. Many years and timeless hours have gone into this recordings, but time is just a number to those who believe in miracles.
I know there would be critics, please criticize to build not in attempt to destroy. However, that will just make me more determined to do it better the next time around. I do not have millions of dollars to promote or market this CD. But rather counting on every one of you guys, to help spread this message of peace. Buy two Cds or more, bless someone, a friend, a family and don''t forget to wish them Peace. That’s the way to go.
