Melodic acoustic and thought provoking lyrics make this emerging Canadian acoustic artist fearless in combining soothing acoustic with memorable, hard-hitting choruses. I don''t ever want to make it big; I put all the time into making music because it''s become more than an obsession for me, it''s become my life. All the sleepless nights are worth it if you love what you''re doing ... and let me tell you, I''ve had many sleepless nights, and I wouldn''t have it any other way.
Members: Greg Burlet - Guitar, Violin, Piano, Bass, Vocals
Greg Burlet is a 19 year old university student, currently in the faculty of computer science at the University of Alberta. He wants to eventually go into the field of computer recording platform interfaces (software side), of course, being a musician on the side.
"Two years of my life have been devoted to perfecting every detail of transfering my experiences to the emotional undertone of the album. Everything that ever happened to me, for better or worse, was translated into a note that tells more than the lyrics ever could. ''Taking on the Everglow'' spans two years of my life that are finally coming to a close, but definitely won''t be forgotten. This is my music. This is my life, shrink wrapped and ready to sell; it''s hard to put a price tag on that", said Greg Burlet, Edmonton''s emerging acoustic artist, commenting on his album, Taking on the Everglow.
