15 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Trance, ELECTRONIC: Dance

Details:
Speaker Junkies are a new flavor of electronic artists rising from the depths of Southern California. The duo was formed in 1999 by William Usey and Tommy V. With a unique blend of beats and melodies, Speaker Junkies have defined a style of their own - incorporating trance, techno, and jungle. They have developed a following of electronic music lovers across Southern California, performing live at local raves, clubs and events. With the growing market of electronic dance music, Speaker Junkies will be sure to stimulate your body and mind of pure electronic synthesis.

"L.A. based Speaker Junkies were united by fate it would seem. Cousins by marriage, they shared the same age and interest in music. Vota and Will U? both loved synth-based music. They have a vast collection of music and recording gear. Vota is an incredible keyboardist. Will U? is a master at computer programs and midi, so they are the perfect duo. They have been writing tracks for about 4 years and playing out in clubs since 1999. Their sound is hard driving Trance with a Techno edge. This leaves for an awesome dancefloor experience. They have tracks available on https://www.tradebit.com also. After headlining a party in L.A., they met DJ Daniel. He was seeking a band to produce and they hit it off. Daniel signed them to a management deal and the rest is history. There sound is incredible and their live performance second to none. We are sure the Speaker Junkies will have you screaming for more" https://www.tradebit.com

How would you describe the music on your upcoming full-length album, "Decibel Therapy"?
Tom: It''s a combination of melodic to hard electronic dance music that will make you want to get off your seat and bounce. Well, at least, that''s what I hope people will be doing.
Will: Upbeat, crazy, hard driving, dreamy, mood enhancing and euphoric.

Speaker Junkies is a live Techno Duo, equipped with keyboards, synthesizers, drum machines and no turntables. Influenced by Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakenfold, Robert Miles, Depeche Mode, and Kraftwerk, Speaker Junkies'' explosive music will grab you by the ears.
Their addictive music will awaken your inner dance child and their amazing LIVE performance will leave you craving for more. Wild stage antics draw you in. Once the music hits your soul it will never let you go. Like a rush of pure ecstasy consuming your body, you will have no choice but to release you inhibitions and dance.

Speaker Junkies'' debut single "Drifting" first gained fame by being licensed to ESPN for their famous Saturday morning "foam" football spot. By the time it was available on vinyl for the ever-hungry DJ''s, it was a well-known anthem across the nation, crating a cult-like following. The year 2002 has been an amazing year for the Junkies as they kicked it off with a successful 15 day, 9 city tour. With the release of the Decibel Therapy full-length album and ongoing efforts to produce even more smash-hits, Speaker Junkies is destined to be the premier electronic act in America.

"Not every kid raised on techno music wants to be a DJ. Some of them, take the road traveled by the likes of Prodigy, Crystal Method and Daft Punk, turning singing and keyboard skills into energetic live stage performances filled with synthesizers and drum machines. With a touring trail that looks more like a bus schedule (how many cities can you possibly hit in that many days?), Speaker Junkies are set to bounce off the road and into your home stereo with the impending release of their first full length original album, "Decibel Therapy" later this year. Until then, join us for a one-on-two interview with Will Usey and Tekno Tom, aka Speaker Junkies.

"The Speaker Junkies are a flagrant violation of the traditional rock ''n'' roll lifestyle - 140 beats per minute of excessive speed, bouncing around your skull like a thousand .22 caliber slugs. Granted, nothing short of extinction could put an end to the original rock ''n'' roll life - you know, hotel thrashings, obscene drug abuse, and groupies - all the stuff America loves about rock music.

We are living a lie, however, to think that electronic music groups aren''t getting a bigger piece of the industry with every passing week. Artists like Orgy, Orbital, Chemical Brothers and Moby have pioneered their way into record deals, effectively showing record executives that they can command the money and the audience. Moby sold five million copies of his last album, which proved a good start down a road that is pretty much untraveled in American electronica. Magazines such as Mixer, BPM Culture and a slate of others have invaded the circulation of stalwart music mags Guitar and Bass Player. Instead of just axes, amps and pick-ups, music equipment sellers are making room for stacks, racks, EQ boards and software for song-making. This large-scale shift in focus makes for the perfect environment for up-and-coming electronica outfits like The Speaker Junkies." -Eric Greenwell (https://www.tradebit.com)

Speaker Junkies - "live techno duo from Orange County has a simple explanation for their music. "We are like a rock band, except replace rock with techno and guitars, bass & drums with keyboards, samplers and drum machine."
Their debut CD: Decibel Therapy features many favorite songs they perform LIVE and brand new tracks. UNHUMAN; a single remixed by Beetlejuice is available on vinyl along with DRIFTING; a song beautifully remixed by DJ Thee-O. Spoonfed with influences from mega electronic artists such as, Prodigy, Robert Miles, Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakendfold, Kraftwerk & Depeche Mode - Speaker Junkies'' explosive music will grab you by the ears." - https://www.tradebit.com

Our song "Tripped out of Reality" is featured in The OC Weekly''s Vitamin OC - energy enhancer- "a collection of Orange County''s Dance Music" -Vota
