Hawaiin raised Ken Herkes has been playing and writing music all his life in paradise. Having grown up on all the major Hawaiian Islands gave him a rich cross section of musical styles. Upbeat music and soft melodies are woven through out the songs.
As he travels, guitar in hand, around the world doing technical work for major corporations he has performed in street side cafes in Interlaken, Switzerland to cruise ship lounges.
His friends in the technical world have taken his "Street Signs" CD and played it at such locations as the Taj Majal in India and the Forbidden City in China. Sometimes it can be heard as background music in Bali.
From the happy "With my Music" to the environmental awareness song "Blink Your Eyes" the musical journey takes you around a sea of melodic islands.
Writing and playing guitar and piano around the world while working in the technical field has given him a vast source of material to draw upon for the next project so stay tuned.
