Welcome to the Wonderful World of the Word Critters®
The Word Critters are four little treasures who live in Fruitvale, where the fruit is plentiful, overgrown and oh, so sweet! All of the Critters in Fruitvale are very diligent and work lovingly to care for the trees and vines so they can share the fruit with the whole wide world. The Word Critters are very proud to live in such a wonderful place.
Now I’ll tell you a little more about our critters from the animal world. The Word Critters are four years old in human years and represent the diversity of Fruitvale as there is a bear, a bunny, a puppy and a baby mouse!
The Word Critters LOVE TO SING AND DANCE before the Lord and they flourish in just about everything they do because…they are do, do, do, do, doers of God’s Word according to what the Bible says in James 1:22! And, they are so happy because they are releasing their very first CD “Children’s Songs of Praise”. Let’s meet them now:
Say hello to Danyo Berry: He''s a bear.

Danyo is an Adventurer and Explorer, he''s the strongest of the Word Critters and almost five years old in human years. Like most boys, he loves a good adventure. He is also especially fond of creepy, crawly things and can be found most any day following a butterfly home or quietly watching a worm or two (so as not to scare them away). However, what Danyo loves most is doing God’s Word….oh, I almost forgot, Danyo’s favorite meal is breakfast…lunch…and dinner and while he loves going on his many adventures, he is never late for meals!
Next, meet Cherry Blossom: She''s a bunny.

Cherry is the worlds most delightful Praise Dancer! She loves to dance before the Lord with all of her heart! And, guess what?! She is also a runner, she is the fastest runner in Fruitvale and has lots of first-place medals to show for it! In fact, Cherry does everything fast; she’s a fast talker, fast thinker and quick to do her most favorite thing of all, that’s right, God’s Word!
Now, meet Peary Winkle: He''s a puppy.

Peary is a Scientist and Inventor and loves to read, he can sometimes stay up all night with his flashlight, reading and reading and reading! He is very good in school but as you can probably guess, he also loves to do God’s Word more than anything. Peary loves to read all kinds of books especially books about science, trees, flowers and birds, but, yes you guessed it, the Bible is his favorite book of all!
Last but not least, meet Lemon Dew Drop: She''s a mouse.

She is the smallest of the Word Critters and just barely four years old in human years. And, Lemon is what one might call a “Soft Talker”. Sometimes, Cherry Blossom has to tell everyone else what she says. But, Lemon loves to sing and when it comes time for her to sing her solo part, she is loud and strong and sings with all her little heart before the Lord! And, like all of the Word Critters, Lemon loves to do God’s Word too.
So, now that you have met each of the Word Critters, I’ll tell you a little about their mission. They want to share the Word of God with children of all ages, through singing, dancing and storytelling, all around the world.
That is such a big job for such little critters but they will do it with the Lord Jesus on their side! See Isaiah 60:22.

Word Critter Backgrounder
With a mandate from the Lord to tell the children "Jesus Still Loves You", Minister Stine McDonald is creator of the Word Critters, does the voice overs and has written all of the songs. She has been in Arts ministry for over 20 years. She''s also founder of Steps Ordered by God Ministries and Judah First Fellowships. She is a prophetic dance minister, ministry leader, actress, script writer, producer, choreographer and prophetic bible teacher, speaker and conference host. She authored her first book in 2007 entititled "Dance! According to the Scriptures". Min. Stine is delighted to bring these characters to life and gives God all of the Glory!
Min. Stine has gotten “jingles” from the Lord for over 30 years and they flow from her like fresh streams from heaven…she opens her mouth and God fills it with bouncy tunes and clever lyrics!! God began her song writing ministry with the birth of her son, Daniel Stewart. As a new mother, she accomplished her daily tasks with a song!! There were all sorts -- from wake-up songs to those clever “nite, nite” songs! This, God used to not only develop the song writing in Minister Stine but the multiplied gifts of music that are in her son, Daniel, as well.
The Lord gave Min. Stine the Word Critters (using them as hand puppets) just about 21 years ago and that grace for “Jingles” came in quite handy. She ministered at churches and many other places where children on all ages gathered. After a few years, the hand puppet ministry was placed on the shelf but the songs never stopped coming.
Now, after two years of research and planning, Min. Stine has developed the characters, brought them to animation (with the help of an anointed animator) and has now produced the first Word Critter CD (with the help of an anointed team including a musician! While much of the foundational work is done, there is still much more that is yet to be done.
We believe God that the Word Critters will make an impact upon children of all ages, but the activities and learning is geared toward children between the ages of three and eleven. We believe many from other languages and cultures will also benefit from the Word Critters’ teaching ministry. Not only will the children want to sing and dance along, but they will have solid, biblical doctrine sown in their hearts at an early age.
We understand that God has created us to learn through our senses and the more of our senses are involved in the learning experience; the more we grasp and retain. So with original songs from the Lord, fun and relevant dances, storytelling that captures the imagination, visuals and activities to practice “doing” the Word of God, our children will get God’s Wonderful Word in a perfect package…God things come in small packages!
Arts and Education
Remember when you learned your ABC’s? It was with a song, and you and I will remember that song for the rest of our lives! It’s a song that is timeless because little people are still learning and singing it today. Sesame Street has endured the test of time and is wonderful evidence that arts and learning are inseparable. After spending over eight years at the Los Angeles Music Center, Minister Stine knows full well the value of the arts in the learning process as the Music Center is a nationally celebrated model for Arts Education. While serving at the Center, she worked on many projects in the fundraising department. As part of a writing team, she helped to produce many of the proposals for the Education division and has first-hand knowledge on Arts and Learning.
How much more should we utilize the Arts to teach our children God’s Word?! In music, God designed the Melody to touch our spirits, the harmony to touch our souls and the rhythm to get our toes tapping! And, thank God for His creation of dance so we can move beyond the tapping of the toe into an expression of a moving picture of His Word! And, story telling goes as far back as Abraham when God said that he was to teach his children and his children’s children after him, this was done by story telling. The Word Critters are thrilled to be telling the greatest true story of all, the story of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is The Word Made Flesh.
