Motown Moe a native of Detroit started playing contemporary jazz music on keyboard and piano over twenty years ago. His music is a blend of different genres such as smooth jazz, new age, rnb, funk, electro jazz which are pieced together for some of the coolest nu-grooves around. He has studied numerous contemporary sound artists and producers, such as Jeff Lorber, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Dancing Fantasy, Bob James, Brian Culbertson, Bob Baldwin, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Barry White, Isaac Hayes, Paul Hardcastle just to name a few. The songs have all been carefully played in a style that is soulful, mellow, and from the heart, if you have the opportunity to hear this music you will become addicted. Motown Moe released his first EP “Blu For U” which also featured London Saxman Martin Sharpe in June of 2008; Moe’s second EP “Metro Dreams” is scheduled for release on January 5, 2009 . Motown Moe is currently independently producing and arranging all of his music in a home studio located in Canton, Michigan. Motown Moe would love to work with other artists on contemporary jazz collaborations. Make it a point to check out this talented new prospect in the genre of nu-jazz you won’t be sorry.
