Robert Boyle currently plays electric guitar for the Music Ministry at the Abundant Life Worship Center in Lincoln Park N.J. This new cd entitled “Grace of the Lord” is a testimony of original praise and worship songs.
Previously Bob released a cd with “The Big Surprise” and two other cd’s with the “Bob Boyle Band” who played frequently in NYC at Kenny’s Castaways in the village.
The band also did shows opening for "Foghat", “The Good Rats,” John Cafferty ( Eddie and the Cruisers), "Glen Burtnick", and others at the "Stone Pony" in Asbury Park.
As a musician from North Jersey Bob has performed over the years at many rock clubs in Jersey and NY with various bands: "Hot Fog", "Streat", " These Foolish Things", "Rockslyde", "The Bob Boyle Band", "The Big Surprise" and "Hard Rain".
Playing clubs like: "Dodd''s", "DJ''S"'' "The Final Exam"'' The Towpath", "Mothers", "The Stone Pony",
"The Showplace", Kenny''s Cataways", CBGB''S and "many" other venues. "Lots of hard nights spent loading and unloading equiptment, playing and breaking it down ,packing it up and doing it all over again".
“Hanging on the Corner” a song on the Bob Boyle “Hidden Drive” cd received rotational airplay on WNEW and WDHA-FM.
and other major rock stations. "On That Road A Rockin" from the "American Airwave Expedition" received rotational airplay on WDHA-FM.
Bob was also picked to perform an original song he co-wrote
for the "Statue of Liberty Celebration at Liberty Island state park.
As a young teenager Bob’s first paying gig memories were playing for Seton Hall frat parties that his sister Anne arranged for his band "The Blue Saints". After high school Bob left NJ with the band “Hot Fog” for California playing original music clubs like Malibu''s “Topanga Canyon Corral". The band had an apartment right behind the Hollywod Bowl on Highview Terrace. Bob’s music has come full circle from the early days of playing the first guitar Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes church in West Orange N.J. and performing at C.Y.O. dances then through the rock club and concert years to the opportunity to serve with the Abundant Life Music Ministry.
Through it all Bob has constantly worked on original songs and picked up recording skills. He has also completed recording courses at William Paterson University. This has helped him produce/engineer his own original music.
This new CD “Grace of the Lord” tells of God’s saving “Grace” and of His ever present help in time of need. Pastor Tom of the Abundant Life Church says: “God inhabits the praises of His people” This personal cd is a testimony of praise and worship songs that all can join in with. This praise and worship cd testifies that the gift of Jesus to all of us is a "Glorious" gift from God and that "God is Listening" and wants us all to call on Him.
