“The Best of Tommy Dean, Volume 1” is a collection of twelve American classic and five original songs which Tommy arranged and recorded, track by track, between 2003 and 2008.
The mix is orchestral, easy on the ears and lovingly reminiscent of mid-century George Shearing, Henry Mancini or Sergio Mendes. Tommy’s romantic vocal stylings belong at the same cocktail party as Mel Torme, Jack Jones or Eydie Gorme. Lush background voices complete the sensual sound of this crooning Concierge.
Tommy writes, “This time in my life brought the blossoming of two great happinesses – music and conciergery. Loving my guests (*at the Four Seasons Austin Hotel since 1987) and loving this music made my spirit soar. I had plenty of love to give, and now I’m very happy to give it all to you.”
