12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: Power Pop

Details:
SUPER so FAR is:
James Woods - Vox & Guitar, David Briggs - Bass & Vox, Mike Stipanov - Guitar & Vox, Bob Hanson - Drums & Vox

James started as a solo acoustic project in 1999 which shortly after was forged into the James Woods Band out of Salt Lake City, Utah later relocating to San Diego, CA. Upon return, James teamed up with Mike in 2001. David joined the line up in January of 2002. After multiple drummers, Bob (a long time friend and former band mate) joined to complete what is now known as SUPER so FAR. Since the bands outset, SUPER so FAR has developed into a thriving original project, locally and regionally.

They write great songs, real songs with their own sound, not an umpteenth generation from the flavor of the week. The SUPER so FAR sound is based on melodic vocals (no cookie monster wannabees here) and instrumental dynamics through the adept use of guitars and drums, power and volume, ranging from "as heavy as the sky falling" to "atmospheric like wide open space" (and all points in between).

SUPER so FAR has performed hundreds of shows locally and regionally, featuring many professional musicians and including many major label-opening slots.
Woods & Briggs have performed together in projects for many years, including critically acclaimed band A.S.A. (All Souls Ave.) and Copper Street Fair featuring Jonni Lightfoot, and have written or co-written hundreds of songs.

James released a full- length album entitled "Moodswing" in 2000, which led to lots of national attention by press, radio and T.V. including a license agreement with MTV for the series "Undressed", as well as a song featured on a compilation with artists such as Peter Frampton, Eric Johnson, Seven Mary Three, etc.

SUPER so FAR officially released their debut album "Day Stealer" in Sept. 2003.
SUPER so FAR is touring the region to support both releases.

SUPER so FAR is joyous and eerie, psychedelic and straight edged, indeed hard to categorize and impossible to keep out of your head. Their music is original, influential, and successful.
