Details:
Larry Greenberg AKA "LG" was born and raised in Nassau County, a middle-class suburb of New York City. LG grew up like most stereo-typical rappers; he grew up in a broken home. His mother raised him while working and going back to school to become a social-worker. Ironically, LG would grow up living the type of life-style that originally plagued his home. After years of being in and out of trouble (selling drugs, doing drugs, stealing, fighting, and miscellaneous micheveous activities) he was kicked out of school and continued his education at an alternative high school.

At this alternative high school he was first introduced to the element of hip-hop head on. In his words, "I saw a bunch of the kids freestylin in a group and I got in it at first started spittin; bars off some poetry I wrote, and as time went on I started freestylin; than writin songs, and now Im out doin; my thing." During this time period LG caught his first felony charges and did his first "bid" in county; from that point on he dedicated his life in the pursuit of different aspirations. In his own words, "Shit hit the fan, alotta people around me changed I heard rumors that wasnt true, girls I was talking to changed... my world went upside down."

At this point, his life changed dramatically. He lossed weight, started struggling at work/school, no longer a hustler, overnight became broke, dealing with fake women/friends. He turned his stress into hip-hop; he describes it as, "I had no where to run, no where to hide so I decided to write, even when I didnt have a pen I was free-stylin all the time about my life, my confusion, my stress."

Ever since for LG its been an uphill battle. As he puts it, "trying to get recognized as a white rapper from suburbian America, while dealing with constant money troubles, the snakes in waiting, the game itself is ten times worse than hustlin’ in the game ya watch out for cops, feds, snitches, and bitches, in the rap world you look out for everybody."

At this time, LG met a girl who offered him an alternative. The alternative to start a new life, in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. So he packed up his things flew out to Vegas, and started a new life. Living in hotels at first because the girl who offered him this "dream" left him hanging. "When a things too good to be true it usually is.", LG. After shortly depleting most of his funds, he went back to "hustling." Now selling crack, coke, and marijuana on the Las Vegas strip, to people he came across, and in the "hood". He was making money, but more problems occurred for LG in his words, "I was makin money, good money, but bein alone out there it was hard to survive, I had guns pulled on me, niggaz jump me, fiends comin up to the crib when nobody knew where I lived, cops at my door cause the fiends blew up my spot... shit got crazy quick... i had peoples out there, but they wasnt like my niggaz in New York, these dudes wouldnt take a bullet for me and i sure as hell wouldnt take one for them ya feel me." (Some experiences in Vegas led him to writing the song “Dear Elieana”)

After awhile, LG left Vegas and moved down to florida. Considering giving up his hip-hop aspirations. He got a full-time job, and was starting to settle. "I was very unhappy, depressed losin weight, I felt alone and down in florida I had mad family it wasnt good my ex was crazy I knew it, but she was still on my mind... money was tight, so that was on my mind, and i was smoking cigars like a crackfiend trying not to deal with my problems... didnt want to go back to drugs I knew it just wasnt good for me to be there I needed to come home", LG puts it. So he packed up his bags, yet again this time he went back to New York.

Again facing financial struggles he worked minimum wage and off the book jobs to get by (Which influenced his song “One Day At A Time”. Eventually, he returned to "hustling" where he was again selling cocaine, marijuana, ecstacy, and occasionally prescription pills. LG was snitched on by an associate of his who sold weed for him. The narcotics officers raided his house taking all of his assets of any value. He did a little less than a month in jail; where he was originally facing several years upstate in the penitentiary. His charges were two A-one felonies (25 to life), two B felonies, two C felonies, and two A misdemeanors. After hiring a top-notch lawyer who discovered certain illegal corrupt actions done by the arresting officers he “copped out” to a C felony with 6 months in jail, and five years probation. Rumors again spread around his local neighborhood of “snitchin”, he got "aids" as he puts it, " the things i still hear regularly are ridiculous Im just trying to do me, and live life the best way that I can Life is Good you know fuck them dumb motherfuckers and their dumb shit, its not worth my time"
