The songwriting and lyrical partnership in the band is due to a longterm friendship between Lead Vocalist Guy Christopher; Guitarist/Vocalist/Keyboardist, Chad Dennis; Guitarist/Vocalist, Duane Rutter; Percussionist, Scott Dall; Bassist, Ryan Burnsworth; and Vocalist/Keyboardist Larena Krohe which spans well over ten years.
Released in 2003, the debut album "Sworn II Silence" is a hard rock masterwork, being lauded by some as the best local debut of the year. The album, produced by Sworn II Silence and Tony Gammalo, takes several stylistic twists and turns, featuring low key passages for just keyboard and guitar, lounge band undertones, industrial/noise rock influences, elegant vocal arrangements, and a firm rooting in metal, punk and rock. The album features appearances by Ben Schigel and Chad Szeliga (currently and formerly of immortal records band Sw1tched respectively) on percussion, Adam Halitzka on percussion, Chris McCoy on percussion, Bassist, Shawn May; and sample artist Art Poling. The album was recorded and produced at Spider studio, in Strongsville, Ohio and finished at Velocity Studio, the band''s own project studio, in Elyria, Ohio.
Not exactly seeking a conventional developmental recording contract is allowing Sworn II Silence to focus on the true heart of the music they write. In the process of seeking a duplication/distribution deal with a major or independent label, Sworn II Silence is poised to bury its proverbial boot in the modern music world.
